Just bought this game and found out no more dlc.
If I could do it was it through the wii console or downloadable on-line.
where was it the dlc.
Can someone tell me what the unavailable spots are in 3 and 4 in the front.  Maybe I have to unlock those.

If the Wii DLC is like the other consoles, I don't think it's available anymore.  There was a bit of a fiasco about that back in 2009 (it vanished after a couple of months from online stores, then came back and was scheduled to go away again at the end of 2010).

Also, if it's like the other consoles, those locked spots will become available as the game progresses (note: two characters do not unlock until you get to your fourth base and one does not unlock until you beat the game once)

Here is what I think I found out.  No DLC for the wii at all. The 2 unavailable characters were captain america and Ironman.  I guess you can't play them during the game.

I was just poking fun at you for suggesting that Wii players can't play as the two biggest heroes in the game, Captain America and Iron man. Unless you are not mistaken, in which case that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

Can someone with more experience on this game pipe in.

Characters become available and unavailable throughout the game, depending on the current scene.  I suspect you're on the DC mission.  Afterward, you have to choose a side, which will lock three characters, depending on which side you choose, which later become unlocked for the latter third of the game.

oh no.  I have to choose.  Will I know what heroes are on what side.
That is going to be tough.

It tells you, but IIRC, the lock/unlock order on the PS3 version is...

NYC - Unlock Ms Marvel
Washington - Lock Captain America & Iron Man, Unlock Deadpool
Choose a side
- choose Pro-Reg: lock Captain America, Luke Cage, Thing, Iron Fist Unlock Cap
- choose Anti-Reg: lock Iron Man, Songbird, Mr Fantastic, Thing. Unlock Iron Man

During the second "Civil War" mission, Thing unlocks.
During the third "Civil War" mission, your leader and their second in command lock.
There's a story event, then a long mission (keeping this as spoiler free as possible), and afterward, Captain America, Iron Man, Songbird, Iron Fist, Mr Fantastic, and Luke Cage are unlocked if they weren't already.
After the next mission, Green Goblin and Venom unlock
After the finale, the final "mystery character" unlocks.

Hope that helps.

One last thing - after beating the game, you're given an option of starting a new game from within your final HQ.  This new playthrough does away with much of the lock/unlock business.
