A rather cool yet all-too-short take on the Man of Steel.  Stay tuned after the credits for some words from the creator.  Also, check out who's doing the voices.

That was awesome.  I guess WB gave him the OK to post this.  This would be cool as 6 minutes shorts.

That was... incredibly good.  And yes, way too short for such awesome work.

I never really took to the new Superman that well.  It never really had the same taste as the classic Superman.  It was a lot more like Batman, and I'd by a Batman, or am I thinking of Coke?

Actually, this looks really well down.  I have the Max Fleischer version of this story on DVD, and this isn't quite as good as the Max Fleischer version, but come on.  Max Fleischer was a genius.  The maker of this one does show both talent and a love of the character which makes me greatly jealous.

Thanks for sharing. great stuff.

This is what i want in a superman movie. Seriously, a classic take on superman would be great!

Impressive, just impressive.
I can think of a lot of big budget films, tv series and cartoons who could learn a lot from this short.
And it was fun to have John Haymes Newton as SuperMAN.

That...Was...Sooo...Cool!!!

I love the design and animation... I agree, as 6 minute shorts this would be awesome. I'll listen to the creator later on tonight.

Man.......that was definitely awesome.  Those old Fleischer cartoons are about the coolest Superman anything...ever, and this channels a lot of that coolness.  I love the Timm-verse Superman series, mostly because those guys were just such excellent storytellers, but no-one will ever match the pure visual awesomeness that those old cartoons contain.  However, I'd love someone to give this guy a bunch of money and let him give it a shot.

This guys style reminds me of 1950;s "illustration" (more magazines than comics) meets Darwyn Cooke.

Actually the animation style reminded me a little of Kim Possible, which became more obvious once I looked at this guy's past credits (Kim Possible, Disney's Tarzan, etc)

I really REALLY hope he develops this more

As others have already expressed, I too am a big fan of the atmosphere of those classic Fleischer shorts.  Superman's boy scout persona just seems perfectly at home in pre-1950s America.  The animation in this fan-project is a great mix of old and new styles.
