Spoiler
Originally designed to be the Earth 2 Black Manta as Aquaman, I'm repurposing him to be my Haitian "aquaman" type named Baron De L'eau. I named him after the Loa in Haitian Voodoo but wanted him to have very little collection to voodoo or magic in general. The Baron is a pirate who uses Navassa Island as his base. He main interest is the protection of Haiti and the nearby island countries rather than the world. He sees himself as the anti-thesis of Papa Xango despite their similar islander backgrounds - he wasn't blessed with magic and relies on science and often gets hurts (think Batman's resentment of Superman). I want to skope some sort of aquatic ship for him but we will see.

Spoiler
I really like his face and overall look the first time I did him so I just redid it but with more detail.

So of course you all realize my Venusian Womanhunter will be reskinned and be the "Manhunter" of the group. I like the name Venusian. Her connection will be to the Tikal Maya and Guatemala. Something like her being encased since the conquistadors arrived in the Americans.  After she is finished I'll go back reskope Ant-boy and finish skinning TJ Max and update a few other of my non-HIVE originals. I've been toying with this X-Men riff team based on my reimagine X-Men ideas from a year ago.

The new details give him much more personality. I really like how your skins really make the characters come off as individuals.

Dude, your sense of design is impeccable.  There is such great balance to the whole skin with the lines of sight being drawn through the chest strap...like the patch and earring offset the scythe, armband opposite the gauntlet, etc.

Now I can really imagine some cool group dynamics... Maybe the Baron saying to Papa Xango, "step aside buffalo soldier, this calls for someone with a little more finesse then flash."

Awesome...Awesome...AWESOME. Love it bro...now all he needs are fingers :P. And I also love that us Caribbean folks (I'm Trinidadian) are gettin' some representation. The only thing I'll gripe about a little is the team name..."The North Americans" when you have Jamaican and now Haitian members. Most "Islanders" take great pride in their heritage...the island(s) of our birth being like life's blood..and even though I've been a naturalized citizen of the grand ole' U.S of A for the better part of 20yrs...I still am Trini as well (Dual Citizenship has it's advantages..holla!). Anyway I don't wanna go of on to much off on a tangent and dampen your creative bent. Do your thing baby..keep rockin' those skins!
I can't help it that I look so good baby! I'm just a love machine!

AfghanAnt

The North Americans is just a working name. I'm still not too happy with that name actually. But thanks everyone.  ^_^

detourne_me

Trying to be as culturally sensitive as possible, how about "The New Worlders". I guess that wouldalso imply south America too, though.
The Atlantics, the Colombians, the Boreals, the Comericans, I dunno it's tough to decide on a name for such a diverse continent, good luck AA.

The Venusian: Before and After
Spoiler
Oddly enough she looks more like a Mexican national hero than Santa Muerte but I never had any intention of Muerte being this overly Mexican national hero like Lady Sas and the Hero.

Spoiler
The whole team with Greenland's representative, Northern Light (unfinished design). Northern Light is my GL/Flash all in one. Once I've finished Northern Light's design, I will finish up T.J. Max and Ant-boy and release these with AfghanAnt and the Future AfghanAnt. I have some really cool ideas for future version of the other HFers which I will probably start working on soon enough.

Podmark

That is one sweet team AA. Can't wait to see what you've come up with for Northern Light.

Dang, AA. Super rad as always. It's pretty amazing seeing your old skins (which were already great) totally out shined by your new skins. The hits just keep on coming.

Amazo Version 2.2

your group shots are awesome, they always make for great desktop wallpaper and screensavers. any chances of them being uploaded somewhere (if you still got them)?
For anyone, and everyone, who has ever done anything to improve the FF/FFvs3R gaming experience, I want to say thank you. Life is so short, and you have all brought me so much joy. I hope that one day, I am somehow able to return the kindness and generosity that all of you have shown.

The team looks so good. I'm looking forward to Northern Light.

Have you contemplated creating characters for different continents, or different regions?

Spider-Woman Jessica Drew, Spider-Man Peter Parker and the newest Spider-man, Miles Morales.

I'm particular proud of my Pete skin:

I really like your colors and highlights, AA. Your skins have a "larger than life", unique feel. Pete is really good, the mask details are great.

Tomato

Sweet job on old school Ultimate Spider-man, it's one I was eagerly anticipating. I was wondering though... any chance of seeing a shot of miles on the updated mesh?

Actually he is on the updated mesh in the image I previewed here. Sarah draws his eye shapes different from Lafuente's and Baliey's.

Thanks! This is a serious compliment.

martialstorm

You've nailed the characters of each of the Ultimate Spider Characters AA. They each look unique and not a standard basic type model and the scale of their physiques looks spot on.

As always I admire you're style of highlights and shading

deano_ue

superb work, does the classic transfer to the adult spider-man mesh without any problems

Tomato

Not really. USM is on one of my TM meshes, which has some differences as far as mapping goes(mostly just on feet). It should, however, work on any other TM base mesh, and I'm pretty sure there's a Fullmask version.

AfghanAnt

Like this?
Spoiler

Looks like the edits I made to the feet's mapping are a little "off" but that is an easy nifskope fix. I will add Tommyboy's mask and probably release both teen and adult Pete along with a little red spider...

martialstorm

Nice! I could play a Spider-Family mission with these

Podmark

Nice adult Spidey. I saw the earlier pic and the new head really makes a big difference.
And YAY underarm webbing. I miss those.

Yeah I completely agree. Though I might do something different with this web-wings.

Spoilers this is a draft to see where the piping should be on the mesh! I'm working on Superboy from DCNU. I'm not fond of his costume but he is still Conner (even if he's been reversed engineered...still not sure what that means). Anywho, from the drawings by Booth and Lee, Superboy seems to have Apollo's halo effect (I'm guessing TK signature or something) so gave him one.

Great use of a Kirlian Aura AA and the skin has turned out really well.

Skins no where near finishing - it is just the flat colors, I still need to go back and put in the details.

Cyber Burn

Yeah, I wish my finished work looked even half as good as your WIP's. Love the Spider skins, and Conner looks great so far.
