I was at E3 and got to try this game out, and I gotta say; the brawling mechanic was BEAUTIFUL. The animation is very smooth and fluid, and you just feel the weight and power behind each of Batman's swings..
and getting to hear the Batman TAS cast reprising their roles? AWESOME.

I'm really psyched for this game; I think it should be pretty spectacular.

Played it. Fun stuff...although the "detective mode" vision is pretty much a cheat mode. It shows you everything....where to go, exactly how many enemies are in the room, what you can interact with and what you can't, etc. It just dumbs the game down too much I think.

I didn't know there was one available until you mentioned it.  I'm down loading it now - but it's a biggie.  1.6GB!!

OK - I've played through two fights - I understand that the combat does get more complex, but right now it is very simple - button one to strike, button two to counter.  But man, the fighting animation is amazing.  I agree with Cardy - you feel like Batman.  And the opening cinematic is practically worth the price of the game alone.  Beautiful.  I'm really looking forward to getting into this game.

I was expecting detective mode to allow Bats to see things other people would overlook, not give him Superman's x-ray vision.There are no lenses covering his eyes. His eyes are visible in his cowl, so how does this Bat tech work anyway?

I guess it works a la Dark Knight, normally he doesnt wear lenses, but they appear when needed. Personally I would prefer if he had them all the time but its OK I guess.

The lenses slide down (i guess) when you use detective mode. You can see them glowing while it's on.

I do love the combat system...reminds me a bit of Assassins Creed only more fluid...I can't wait to take on like 8 goons at once and dance around the room in a bone crushing ballet

I did a quick skin edit...classic logo

There were 3 layers to edit (base, texture or shadow, reflection)...I missed the reflection layer(I think) which is why you can still see the outline of the other logo...but you get the idea

Ok.... I think I found what to do with the $50 I'm NOT going to spend on Champions Online.

The skins can be modded?  Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.  I hope to see the Burton Batman costume pop up.
