So folks, being easily influenced as I am, I now find myself looking for Nova.  What exists for his classic incarnation?  It seems like one of our veteran skinners had done a bunch of his looks, (I thought it was Pod) but I can't find him.

Forgot to respond to this. I have skinned Nova once, but only one of his newer looks (New Warriors volume 3 costume).

So, I've been sort of out of touch, as we've been having work done on our house, and I haven't had internet access at home this week.  To further complicate matters, I've just set my computer back up, and apparently my keyboard doesn't work!  (I'm currently on the wife's laptop.)   I'm not sure how sitting in the closet for a week somehow broke the little port in my motherboard, but it stinks out loud.   Anyway, I haven't been able to respond and keep up with stuff on the boards much, so I apologize if someone posted something and I haven't responded yet.

Amazo, those sound cool, man.

On another note, I watched The Wolverine this week, and I have a sudden urge to gather Hand Ninjas and the Silver Samurai.  I think C6 did a really beautiful skin for the Samurai, but I could be conflating that.  What's out there for those folks?

Not that you asked for this, Benton, or even wanted it, but here's a skope for Diamondhead. I used the GGX_Martinex_Gren mesh, added a Tommyboy turban to capture the more "diamond" top of the head the character has, and plugged in the wristbands, belt, and shoulder pieces. I also used Murs' newly released base skin for the body (I used C6's costume base for the arms due to the effect the meshes inherent gem facets have on how the skin appears).

Thanks all. I greatly appreciate the positive feedback. When I get home, I'm going to try to do a little Blender work on the base mesh head. I really want to keep the crystalline look of the mesh and would like to get the head looking as it does in the comics. I never reinstalled Blender after my prior hard drive issues, but I think that this particular skope is calling for the adjustments that can be made with Blender.

Judging by the picture of your own version of Diamond Head himself Hoss, along with my comparison to the skin of Diamond Head himself that I have which I just downloaded the skin of himself from Voodoo-Chemist's Yahoo Group which is for the male crystal69 mesh that I also have that Diamond Head of yours which is your version and creation is awesome yet superior but most of all I even like the look, feel and texture of the character as well . It almost looks like that he's made out of crystal with a living crystal material combined , and above all he's even made out of a diamond like based material or whatsoever along with his own crystalized self being made up of living microscopic crystals that are filled with a strange energy that actually made him come to life for the first time as well as made him move for the first time along with that . Even if my opinions and such are wrong on this one in this comment that I had just left for you and everyone to read Hoss , all I want to say is that your Diamond Head is so awesome and above all he's all about the bling bling if you know what I mean . Anyways Hoss, great job on Diamond Head and I do hope that you'll keep up the good work along with surprising with many more of your latest creations in the form of heroes and/or villains . Here's the update I promised. I was able to manipulate the original mesh's head in Blender and am pretty happy with how it turned out. It looks much more like a "diamond" head now.

I did a quick comparison between the two different pictures of Diamond Head himself , and just so you know Hoss and Cyber that the second picture in the form of the updated version of Diamond Head himself is much better than the last picture and the last version of Diamond Head himself . All I can say in my own words by myself to all of you guys out there reading this , I think the second yet updated version of Diamond Head himself in the form of the mesh deserves an A+ and a 100% rank along with a gold medal achievement for most improved and better looking mesh . Great job with the update so far , and I do hope that more surprises in the form of updates depending on whether if its a mesh or a skin will come our way soon enough . All credit for the mesh shape goes to Grenadier. It's an awesome mesh. For the diamond sections, I just needed to decide on how bright to make the base skin and refl file so I didn't blind anybody. Even though I'm somewhat proud of the way the head turned out, it was only possible due to the original geometry provided by Grenadier.

Well since I didn't know about that for sure Hoss , please let Grenadier know that he did a great job on the mesh shape and the geometry styling on the mesh whenever you get the chance for me . Also , tell Grenadier that he deserves a superior good job big-time and furthermore let him know that I owe him a big thank you for what he had provided for you Hoss along with everyone else here . How I miss Grenadier, everytime he returns to the community, you can just see how much his skills have grown as a mesher. I know that he had dropped hints of things that he had been working on, I would have loved to see a few of those finished. Tommyboy too, without his Versatile meshes, I would have never started skoping.
