Benton, I just sent you both of them. They were later creations, so I don't think they made it to Gren's personal Yahoo group. I went to look on the Champions Yahoo sites that were created, but when I click on File or Gren's folder, I get an "Invalid Path" message. I have no idea what Yahoo is doing with their new layout, but I can't stand it. I can't even arrange my own groups in alphabetical order without dragging them all into place. If I missed an easier way, someone please tell me. I feel like an idiot.

I thought ctrl+f would work (scroll through the list), but nope! Nadda.  It highlights the group, but it does not take you to the group (scrolling to it, I mean).

Awesome CB, I'm glad to hear that!  I think an Avengers/Squadron conflict has tons of potential in FF.  I mean, it's basically an Avengers/JLA fight.  You know, I can't believe that the Marvel writers managed to make such enduring, well-designed characters for their unofficial crossover, but the DC crew really fumbled the ball.  I don't think their erstwhile "Avengers" ever showed up again, did they?

Gren included shield FX with his mesh. I can't remember, but I think I had to mess with either the mesh shield or the FX shield to make it more see through, like the comics.

So folks, being easily influenced as I am, I now find myself looking for Nova.  What exists for his classic incarnation?  It seems like one of our veteran skinners had done a bunch of his looks, (I thought it was Pod) but I can't find him.

There was one by Murs at the Champions site, but I'm not sure if it's loaded anywhere, I think I have it, so if no one else hooks you up today, I'll check my files tonight for you.

Tommyboy did one, it's at his site in the Marvel section.

And I did one or two, located in one of my Yahoo Groups.

Also, I believe there are some older versions by Death's Jester, I would have to check my back - up disks to be sure though.

Nova???? Benton you are making my week even better. First the SS now one of my top 5 Marvel Heroes. Well if you are looking for New Warriors nova syn's mesh is not a very good idea since it depicts his nova prime status. But in my personal opinion and no offense but syn's mesh is better than's tommyboy's. Are you cooking some new warriors Benton?

I believe that syn's mesh is hexxable/skopable to make different versions. it would just require someone to skin whatever version is wanted

Ha, well I'm glad my wild hares prove interesting to you, Jim!    I'm afraid I know nothing about the New Warriors, so don't count on seeing me do anything with them any time soon, but I have encountered Nova in a few places.  I enjoyed reading the Marvel Adventures: Avengers book with him in it, and he's just showed up in that Fantastic Four story I was talking about.  I don't know much about him, but I thought that he might be fun to add into my mix.  I have no real plans for him at the moment.  If you're a big fan, why not whip up a short adventure for him within Marvel Adventures, Jim?

As for DJ's skins, I'll go through my disks as soon as I can, at least , I'm pretty sure they were done by DJ. Nova has always been a favorite of mine, and was the reason I started reading the "New Warriors" back in the day.

Well can't hide my self can i? Nova has always been a favorite of mine since i got my hands one an Amazing Spider-man comic feautring him. I really like his evolutio being a kid from Long Island to last survivor of an intergalactic force and the change it caused in his persona.

If i understand correctly Benton since English insn't my native language you ask me to come around a short adventure for nova? Like creating one? Well i am afraid i don't have the know-how to do it  . Beleive if i did you would see a campaign with him along with Rocket Raccoon wreaking havok upon some Badoon scums

Thanks Hoss, that 69 version does look really nice.  Does anyone know of any skopped keys for it that feel a bit more like Nova?  The animations are beautiful, as VX's always are, but I'm wondering if anyone has customized them some.

Jim, I have to say, the character has piqued my interest.  I've got the vol. 1 collection ordered.

That's right, Jim, why not try your hand at EZScript.  As I always say, if I can do it, anyone can do it.  Give it a shot one day.  It isn't too hard to create simple missions.  I've got some guides, to which I will post some links, but the instructions that come with all of my mods (written by M25) are pretty great by themselves.  Try out a small, simple mission, and maybe one day you'll find yourself telling the stories you've always wanted to tell.  After all, the DCUG grew out of my desire to see Batman stories with Dick Grayson.  Eventually I fooled around enough and experimented enough to stumble into seven campaigns and zillions of characters.

I've added the flying_melee animations to mine, both the standard and super fast ones. What type of animations did you have in mind? I'd be happy to see if I could jumble something together for you. Are some speedster animations appropriate, like the arm cyclone or area whirlwind? His speed is primarily while flying, right?

Doesn't he do sort of a Cannonball thing when he flies?  Flying melee is definitely fitting, at least.  I don't know too much about what he can do.

I guess you could say it so Benton although Nova is one of the fastest fliers around Marvel Universe able to outrun even cosmic beings. Cannonball's flight is based on thermo-chemical propulsion whereas nova uses the nova force bestowed upon him. Now if you are looking for Bronze age nova that appeared in many spiderman's adventures he is considerably weaker since he uses only a portion of nova force. So his flight, invulnerability and enrgy projection skills are far lower than those of nova prime. Still he is called the human rocket for a reason  . Air superiority is a must for every era nova. I suspect you gonna tinker with normal nova and if that's the case i would be happy to provide any info you will need.

If you'd like, Benton, I could just plunk the Nova69 mesh into the Nova_v_syn mesh to give him the force shield and trail when he flies. Also, Nova69 includes wristbands, which are overtop of the skinned on wristbands, but they aren't skinned. Would you like me to hide them? Right now, they just show black because they weren't skinned in the Extras art file.

Ohh, now that sounds very interesting, Hoss!  Would it be too much to ask for you to send me two flavors, one with just the nova69's keys edited for the flying melee and one with it pasted over the top of syn's mesh?  I'd like to see both options, mess around with them a bit.  As for the wristbands, yes, I think hiding them would be best.

if you're still interested in nova, one of cyber's nova skopes has a rocket trail, it's based off of tommyboys red tornado mesh.

also if you're interested, I am putting together a nuke skope from the squadron supreme just so I can have particle emitters/fx coming from the hands. i would need someone to skin it if anyone is willing, but i am more than willing to share my skope, its one of the few that i am liking how it is turning out. its still a wip, but its not based on fusions mesh, so its skopable and releaseable.
