Batman: Arkham City

Given that the sidequests were added between the games as an expansion of the optional content, I would think more expansion in that area for a possible third game to be likely.  I would not be surprised if the third game were Batman: Gotham City.

With all the talk about Bludhaven and how they introduced the Catwoman missions I could see this going beyond Gotham and including Nightwing and Bludhaven.

I am so darn curious as to the next game. Good gosh.

If it is one solid story again, I can't help but think Scarecrow will be heavily involved. If they open it to a bunch of storylines going on at once then who the heck knows?

I don't know if they will expand to Bludhaven too, though. At least not for the main story. Of course they have all those challenge missions. Quite a few of those actually expand upon the story. Like where Black Mask gets captured.

Mark my words I bet that whatever Azrael's order is will cause some issues and some of the missions will be Nightwing in bludhaven and then you switch back to bruce and then maybe to tim

I really doubt we're going to get another city though.  Expanding to Gotham proper will be big enough of an expansion, expecting two cities is a bit much.

I loooooved the game, i finished the main story and some of the side missions (I still need to find the last azrael and finish Hush's as well) but I'm not really sure if the added characters would make any differnece.

The extra characters are just for the challenge maps.  You can't play them in the main game.

So basically if you are big on the challenge maps they come with new gadgets, new objectives based around the gadgets and fairly distinctive character models.

In other words if you love jumping in and picking a huge fight or stalking criminals, well, it is worth it. If you dont think you will play the game after finishing the main story, then not worth it.

I do have the feeling though that these characters, in addition to being money making DLC, are also Rocksteady's way of experimenting with these characters for possible inclusion in a 3rd entry in the series.  After all, people have already played with them and given feadback, so they have a better idea of whether they work at all and what can be done with them.

I really hope there are more heroes in the next game. I really want to play as (or work with) Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl.

Then I hope they branch out further with the DLC, putting in more DC street level character OR VILLAINS. Dudes like Green Arrow with a ton of ranged gimicks or some Batman Inc characters like Batwing with much improved "gliding" and high tech gadgets and armor.

Well, he already is a playable character with the Robin DLC, but only in the various challenge maps.  This looks to be a full (if likely short) story compaign with his as the main character.

Cat, this is Benton, remember? The sheer fact that this is supposed to be Tim Drake, not Dick Grayson, means that Benton automatically hates him (despite the fact that Tim was always a much better Robin than Dick). He won't be happy until there's a 1960s skin with Robin in elf booties.

Slightly old news, but the first I'm hearing of it, is that Arkham City Game of the Year Edition is coming out soon, which has me a bit bummed out because all of the DLC including Harley's Revenge will be included, and Microjunk's GFWL is so shoddy that I'm unable to download anything including DLC from their store and their technical help is so incompetent that I could even get them to understand the question, let along write in proper English.  So yeah, no DLC for the cat.

This is especially bad because I actually want Harley's Revenge which is as guessed a full new campaign mode with a new story and new maps.  Both Robin and Batman will be fully playable.  The storyline apparently has to do with Batman and Robin trying to close down Arkham City once and for all.

Harley Quinn's Revenge and the GoTY edition just dropped for those of you with Playstations.  It drops for XBox and PC user tomorrow.

EDIT:  Actually, it's out for the PC now.  Downloading as I type this.

I got it for my 360 and it's not bad.  I camera is a bit hectic, and you don't use Bats to his fullest, but some of the missions and playing as Robin makes up for it.

And without giving away any spoilers, I would be expecting a third game.

Haven't quite finished it yet, but played as Robin is, while similar to Batman, different enough to be refreshing.  Especially the very different way has has of overcoming certain obstacles.

I too expect a third game, probably Batman: Gotham City.

I got it and finished it last night. I really enjoyed it and it was nice that we finally get to properly fight Harley. Very happy to have finally played as Robin in actual missions.

I'm both disappointed and relieved that Harley appears to have received a false positive.
