Random question...

The video for the Smashing Pumpkin's "Today" video (released September 1993) starts with Corrigan (dressed as an ice-cream truck driver/vendor) reading a comic book. Does anyone know which comic it is? Below is a still from the video I found online (click through for the full-sized image).
Does anyone recognize the comic? Of course, it may not even be a real comic. But, if it is, I figure someone here might recognize it.

I could be mistaken, but I believe its from an issue of X-Men, but I am not sure which issue....or which comic. (Could be an issue of Uncanny, or an issue of the X-Men series that Jim Lee started)

Interesting. Do you recognize any of the characters on the page that's visible? I haven't kept up very well with X-Men costumes over the years.

BTW, it looks to me like they might have removed the front cover of the comic. The comic is folded over in such a way that a bit of what should be the cover is visible, but none of the normal markings of a cover seem to be there. Instead, what might be the first page of the comic's interior is visible. Possibly a space scene or something.
