I don't know why anyone would expect him too.  The movie and tv shows are entirely different entities, Grant's already busy on his show and the other shows in the same universe, and even in-universe, he's way younger looking than the Flash should be.

The movie should do it's own thing.  I'll still watch both.

Yeah... I more or less agree. On the one hand, Grant Gustin is a fine actor, but I don't think he's got enough time to do both a tv show AND a movie series effectively.

As for the stuff about tone... that is more concerning, but only if it means "everything has to be dark and edgy and Grant Gustin doesn't fit that"... But then, that's my apprehension with EVERY DC Live Action project, SO.

Yeah, I agree with Snyder on this one too.  Again, the tone comments are worrying, but shackling a movie to the continuity of the Flash and Arrow tv shows would not be the smart play.
