That is the map of the Multiverse by DC.While most of the worlds are some sort of shout outs, like Earth 4 being Watchman-like,some of them are based on rival companies. And DC really used the opportunity to take a few shots.  :P
Earth 8-Most notable about it is that heroes fight each other as much as they fight villains.Notable heroes: American Crusader, Wundajin, Machinehead, Ladybug, Stuntmaster, Lord Havok. Also The Retaliators and Future Family...smooth...  ;)

Earth 41-
A dark and often violent world, the nations and communities of Earth-41 vary greatly, existing largely independent of each other and standing united as a world only during rare times of great peril. Perhaps unsurprisingly, much the same can be said of its heroes, who all differ greatly in their look, philosophy and interests. In fact, one could say that it's almost as if each one was dreamt up by a different individual to represent their IMAGE of an ideal super hero.

Notable heroes: Dino-Cop, SPORE, Nimrod Squad, Fletch, Vague, Flintstein, Sepulchre, Nightcracker, the Scorpion.
There are some more probably, but these are the ones I noticed.

I don't think it's being mean, but more like poking fun and stuff.  Look how many time Clark Kent was in Marvel comics, and then there's the issue of Spawn where both heroes from Marvel & DC were in hell.  I think of it as a shout out or a little rib to the other companies.

^I know.JK,man,JK. :)
Also, its funny because its sort of true. XD
But if they ever decide to go Supreme Power route and make a series about Retaliators or Nimrod Squad, that would actually be pretty cool.

I saw it as more of a homage to Marvel. A little thing like copyright isn't stopping Grant from using  a 616  and ultimate type marvel earths in his multiverse.

More he was actually doing the " Omniverse " and the medium itself but couldn't use other companies characters outright. And yeah he was snarky about it no doubt, but he's always been a rebel like that. Noted he also slammed DC, his own work and the entire medium itself. Another reason I liked that series better then Convergence, it has attitude. The Just especially because it straight up gives modern social clicks the finger. Marvel wouldn't mind anyways. They've always gone out of their way to poke fun at themselves and point out why their own merchandizing ploys are just stupid. At least I hope they're still that way. The last one I read was Who Won't Wield Shield?. Just awesome. I won't spoil it but if you got on any band wagons that scathed certain modern Marvel architects you have to check it out.

There is also a jab at deconstructing comics and Alan Moore. Its compared to killing a dog, then buying a new one.
Its similar, but its not the same dog.
And New 52 gets it for its darker and edgier look and maniacal villains.Kinda hard to argue with that one...

I sort of remember it but don't. I was meaning to give the whole thing a second read but time constraints and all. I def remember his Avengers parody, lol.
