New Flash and Arrow Spinoff announced

Not a lot known yet, but it will be a team series.  The actors for Atom, Black Canary I, half of Firestorm, and Captain Cold have all been announced as the main cast so far.

I am at least interested.

Not that a thread on the first page needs resurrection, but there seemed to be a lot of conversation on the Arrow thread about the show, so I thought I'd ask some questions and leave info on Cat's thread.  For those that haven't seen:

The show: Legends of Tomorrow will cast "guest stars" from The Flash and Arrow in a new series of their own.  These characters include:  Heat Wave(Flash), Captain Cold(Flash), White Canary(Arrow), The Atom(Arrow), Martin Stein(who may or may not be Firestorm)(Flash) and it will add Hawkgirl and the one bringing them together, Rip Hunter.  The main antagonist for the series will be Vandal Savage.

That said, like I said in the Arrow thread, this is quite a hodgepodge of characters from both shows.  And it doesn't seem like it has a purpose of lasting more than a single storyline.  Maybe I'm wrong.  Maybe there's a basis for this kind of team-up in DC comics that I might have missed.  BUt some things are just weird.

We just got about 45 minutes of a episode of where Captain Cold tried to explain to the Flash that A) he's a bad guy so B) he shouldn't be trusted.  But now you throw him and Heatwave on a team of good guys?  By the way, apparently the cast is set to appear on the season finale of the Flash.

But it look fun though and I'm glad to finally see the Atom being the Atom.

My immense hatred for Captain Cold and Heatwave is a very real detriment to this, but I didn't realize it was going to be about time travel and Atom was going to shrink. I am very excited for this business. What if we see Scandal Savage in it? But yeah I hate the Prison Break idiots and don't look forward to trying to put up with them.

Heatwave and Captain Cold would be up for joining the team if their lives were in danger by Vandal Savage's actions in the past and future. Nothing is more motivating for a criminal then being told that by doing nothing they just might as well give up stealing and making chaos because they might just pop out of existence. When you are going into a Time War then you need folks who will not hesitate to kill their enemy but I'm sure Rip Hunter and ATOM probably have some safeguard just to make sure they both don't betray them in the end.

I also could imagine this team changing from season to season depending on which threat there will be against the timeline.

Well the Arroverse escalated quickly.This has a lott of potential,we can only hope they use it.
