http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/ I find this site pretty useful, it's not chock full of pictures but it does  reference  chararcter appearences;
http://marvel-microheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Marvel-Microheroes_Wiki I like this one too, just to get an idea of what a certain character  different looks have been, plus it tends to have quite a few obscure characters also.
