I'm curious as how to best portray Judge Dredd's abilities and Lawgiver pistol in  :ffvstr: without making him unbalanced or not fun to use.
Any ideas?

For balance, I use RPG style conversions and base my powers on their "real" effectiveness. I also use Marvel's official stat book for balancing, and what not.

Basically, normal humans are set to "3" in every category (and the occasional "2" in strength for some of the less fit characters), while the more athletic humans receive a "4" in Speed, Agility, Endurance, and Energy.

The max stats that I have humans set at are:

3- Strength
5- Speed
6- Agility
4- Endurance
4- Energy

Most athletic humans end up around:

3- Strength
4- Speed
4- Agility
4- Endurance
3- Energy

It would seem to me that most of Dredd's "power" would come from his weapons, but he'd also be a fair combatant, so his attack swiftness would be between "normal" and "fast".  He could have decent accuracy and perhaps "Discipline" to help him withstand some mental attacks as he seems pretty strong-willed in certain aspects, and also the fact that he is a trained dystopian-era cop contributes to his mental trainings.

I've been tweaking Dredd for use in  :ffvstr: and went so far as to rip the dialogue from Dredd vs. Death.  I think I'm pretty much set. Thanks for the help.
