Mongul the Elder

Hey, I was looking for ideas on Mongul.  I created him a while back and think I did pretty good on some aspects of him, but one thing I really wasn't sure about is how durable to make him.  I haven't found exactly where it states that he was AS invulnerable as Superman. I know he was Pre-Crisis to be much stronger than Superman, however post crisis they were about the same strength level, if not he was a bit weaker.

Much I'm not sure which though.

Pre crisis, he was kind of Thanos like. Energy blasts. teleportation, convoluted plots etc. Post crisis he has some built in weaponry like a chest blaster and seemed to be a little stronger than Superman but slower.
Mongul  the younger definitely seems a lesser creature but that may be just villain degradation. Thor's  Ulik  for example was at least as tough as Thor on his first few appearances but later he seemed almost a speed bump for Thor.

Pre crisis it seemed like he was in the same durability zone or higher. Wonder Woman sure couldn't do him much damage. Post he hangs with kal in combat and the younger fell from orbit and was fine.
