Silver Shocker

While that does sound like good news, that doesn't necessarily mean we're out of the woods yet in regard to bad Marvel movie games. No matter who develops the games next, as long as they're not given enough development time, the games are probably going to be bad.

While that's not always the case, a lot of the better Marvel movie tie-in games took inspiration from something that already worked. Captain America Super Soldier fared better than the other Sega games because it was a straight-up Arkham Asylum clone. The Wolverine game took some obvious inspiration from the X-Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance games in regards to how the powers and attacks worked. And while it hasn't come out yet, the new Amazing Spider-Man game looks a lot like previous Spider-Man games, in regards to the open world setting, swinging around the city, and beating up enemies.

They also were made by better development teams, as opposed to the relative nobodies who made the Sega games. I'd rather wait and see who's actually going to be working on future titles before getting too excited.
"Now you know what you're worth? Then go out and get what you're worth, but you gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointing fingers, saying you're not where you want to be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that, and THAT AIN'T YOU. YOU'RE BETTER THAN THAT!"
