I been asking for help for a while I'm not getting very far.
Maybe I'm not presenting my situation correctly.
I been out of the loop for almost nine years before I left I had a somewhat grasp of what I was doing.
You know playing but most of all ffedit.
However I came back and tried loading ffedit and it has been to no avail.
Ok so now I am running Windows 7 so I'm assuming that's the problem to which some
people have said there is no fix.
It seems to run but not the Level edit to then the game stops working when I hit the level edit button.
Now some people say it runs just fine in Windows 7

Ok so I said let me try ffvt3r and ffedit two to which I have never used.
I asked for help and people have tried. Some people told me it runs just like ffedit 1
However that seems not to be true.
I ran the old website on how to make a Mod for the original ffedit 1.
Some things I had to figure out myself.
I need help are there please some tutorial sites or someone willing to walk me through so I can get with the program for ffedit 2 or some fixes ????PLEASE :(

FFEdit one is broken for anything beyond Windows XP SP3.  There is not fix. Sorry.

Not sure about FFEdit 2, but I wouldnt' be surprised if Windows 7 breaks it too.

i did a virtual machine that ran windows 2000 that fixed a lot of things. it still would do random crashes.

I can't run FF or FFvTR smoothly/consistently with Windows 7.  :(

Same for me (windows 7 64bit)...
However I'm using a game install from the original disks.

There might be some weird issue if you are using the Steam/GOG versions -- kinda like the issues with the old Digital Jesters release..

Both of those don't install to the directory that FFEdit is expecting, so I'm guess that would cause all sorts of issues, if it will run at all.  Those version my register the game differently too.  Both issues should be fixable.
