I created a Marvel Heroscape card template that I posted on http://www.heroscapers.com. Then I thought, "Hey, maybe the people on FR would be interested in this." So, here it is :)

I scanned in Hasbro's Silver Surfer card and used it as a guide. The template was created at 600dpi for maximum quality and can be resized accordingly. The template is about 90% accurate and looks pretty awesome when compared to the original cards designed by Hasbro. I even managed to match some of the fonts on the card exactly. My brother and I started playing Heroscape again about a month or so ago and we decided to expand on the game's original 10 figures (Captain America, Red Skull, Iron Man, Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, Venom, Hulk, Abomination, Silver Surfer, and Thanos). I created the following characters:

Colossus
Cyclops
Daredevil
Doctor Octopus
Doctor Strange
Hawkeye
Loki
Magneto
Nightcrawler
Phoenix
Professor X
Thor

Here is an editable PSD file with everything needed to create your own cards: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4d...eTBJbFZ4aUtjQQ (Click "File" near the top left of the screen, then "Download". It's 35MB which Google can't scan apparently, so just click "Download Anyway". I promise it's virus-free ^_^)

Instructions for Editing, Saving, and Printing:

1. Install the fonts included in the template ZIP.

2. When editing text and number values, simply click the text fields in the template and input your changes. The text has been aligned properly and won't shift when different words or numbers are inserted. Spacing between lines and characters may need to be adjusted depending on your changes.

3. The power descriptions have '7px' spacing between each line, with the top line having '8px' between it and the power's name. There's '14px' spacing between the end of the description and the power name beneath it. I had to adjust these to fit certain powers, similar to how Hasbro adjusted the text on their cards.

4. To color the card frame, change the color of the "Color Overlay (for Frame)" layer and duplicate it. Set the first overlay layer to "Hard Light" and 12% Opacity. Set the duplicated layer to "Overlay" and leave it at 100%. Feel free to adjust it however you want. This is just what I used and the results were pretty nice.

5. Change the character name and attributes field background colors by double-clicking the color swatch sample to the left of the layer name in the Layers panel. These layers can be found in the "Title Field" and "Attributes" folders.

6. To change the hexagon tile pattern in the power description field, "ctrl + click" the blue "Hex Pattern Overlay" layer, create a new layer above it (while the little hexagons are selected with a marquee), and fill that layer with your chosen color (It usually matches the color in the character name field). Set that new filled layer to "Overlay" and set the Opacity to 70%.

7. Change the color of the points text by selecting the "POINTS TEXT" layer and changing the color swatch.

8. Save your image WITHOUT your character graphic as a PNG at 600dpi.

9. Open your newly saved PNG, resize it to 300dpi, then place your character graphic behind the card frame layer. Position it how you want, then save it with a new file name.

10. I'd recommend using matte or semi-gloss photo paper to print your cards. The hexagon shape gives the card extra stability so it won't be wimpy like most photo prints. You can use card stock, but you'll lose at least 30% of the details (and the ink tends to rub off and smear). With photo paper your cards will have all of the original details.

Oh man, I LOVE Heroscape! One of the most creative game ideas and an absolute blast to play.

The Marvel set was so amazing (Thanos was a pain to kill!), as were all of the other sets.

Fantastic work on these, Figure Fan! Very well done!

Yeah, I really like the use of Order Markers and how each character's abilities are explained directly on the card. My brother and I used to play Heroclix, but when this came out we pretty much switched over completely. The game has a faster pace since you can move and attack in the same turn. It also cuts down on the need for long range abilities which is nice too.

Oh, and thanks!
