Hey all... any thoughts on Vampire traits and abilities for a hero file?
I'm obviously referring to Jubilee and the new X-Men series that deals with the creatures of the undead.
(although I love the fireworks so much...  :()

what kind of speed, durability, energy, health, etc levels would a vampire have as compared to a normal human?
What abilities? Do Marvel comics vampires have flight, teleportation, etc?
How do you make them weak against sunlight or give them a vampire bite-type power?

Thanks!

I thinkn there was a hidden attribute in FF1 called Vampire or something. I never did know how to access it.

there is an ffx power swap called life draw.

FF1 and FFv3R both have FFX state swaps to simulate vampire abilities. I can't give you a base levels for vampires in Marvel because there is none, as they've all displayed different abilities over the years depending on their age, genetic make-up, rank, willpower, and actual mystical abilities (see: Dracula). Also, the current vampires aren't exactly the same as the ones that were around even a year ago. Obviously, all their base stats would be +2 or +3 points higher than a human (that's another thing that's solely dependent on the vampire in question, but they can all lift over 4,000 lbs), but as for their underlying abilities... that's a book by book case. Do the current vampires even burn in sunlight? I don't recall if they do or not, but I do know it "bothered" Jubilee as she was being turned. I don't think we have an attribute to simulate that, but I do know that Tommyboy had worked out some code for it when he was working on his Angel mod. Maybe he still has it? And no, most vampires cannot fly or teleport. Those are reserved for the older, more powerful creatures. Same with shape-shifting, summoning, and their other abilities. I do believe they all have some form of mind control (read: daze) they exhibit when they need to feed, but that, too, comes at different levels depending on the factors I listed above.

Also, long time, no see, Intensity. I'm surprised you like this vampyric Jubilee, as I don't care for it at all... and I'm pretty sure you and I are probably the biggest Jubilation fans on FR, heh.

thanks for the in-depth post, Previsionary... and it is nice to hear from you as well :)

I will double check with FFX to see if I can find anything. Thanks for the stat suggestion, too.

And as far as Jubilee-- well... I am a big Jubes fan (cool to see you are, as well.) Even though I don't care for the vampire thing, I still like her character. Hopefully they don't mess her up too much.
