Morena Mia by Miguel Bose and Julieta Venegas. Great song and lots of inuendo. Hint: Juleta and Miguel are singing about the same woman.

Black Veil by Straight Line Stitch Sexy for entirely different reasons... nothing like a tough, gorgeous metal singer rocking out.

Van der Graaf Generator - "Theme One" (a raucous cover of a George Martin composition for BBC Radio 1, for those of us who recognise it)

Black Bonzo - "Thorns Upon a Crown"

Camel - "Lunar Sea"

Scale the Summit - "Bloom" & "Sargasso Sea"

Cary Grace - "Kaleidoscope"

Camel - "Lunar Sea"

Awesome song!  Awesome album!  Awesome band!  Currently among my favorites.  It's amazing how much their live stuff sounds like the studio version.  Your post made me have to listen to it again.  :D

Aye, 'tis arguably their best album (though some prefer The Snow Goose).  I find myself listening to "Aristillus" (kindly disregard the ridiculous footballer illustration) three to four times over--just for the entrancing sound that the late great Peter Bardens coaxed from his Moog --before allowing myself the further pleasure of the somnambulent "Song Within a Song" and all that follows.  'Tis my go-to album of choice at the moment, followed closely by Yes's Fragile and Gnidrilog's Lady Lake:thumbup:

Camel's great, Eph got me into them.  I always joke that that song is like a roller coaster.  A roller coaster...IN SPACE!

Thanks to Pandora, I've recently gotten into Jaga Jazzist, a Norwegian 'nu-jazz' group.  Jazz with some drum&bass influences.  They've been described as 'Charles Mingus with Squarepusher jammed up his arse', which...is just awesome.  I love both Mingus and Squarepusher.  Here's two of my favorites:

Jaga Jazzist - Lithuania

And a live performance - they sure enjoy it, heh

Jaga Jazzist - I Could Have Killed Him In The Sauna (Live)

Uncle Yuan

"But there's no use crying over every mistake
You just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake
And the science gets done, and you make a neat gun
For the people who are still alive."

Awesome stuff posted so far! Had a Berklee (colledge of music) friend turn me onto camel a while back.

I'm in a bit of a hip-hop mood tonight:

Sage Francis - Blackout on white night.    fixed to include the right link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=El_-rM3i4JY

Control Machete - Justo'n (oldschool rap from Mexico, just listen to that beat!)

Blackalicious - Paragraph President

Aesop Rock - Coffee (album version)

And here I am listening to Jeff Beck's "Blow by Blow" on CD...

BWPS

I have literally heard of nothing in this thread.  If it weren't for the videos I'd swear you were NinjaDominicroning.

Mainstream alternative rock baby, here are some favorite bands/tunes!
Metric - Gimme Sympathy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqldwoDXHKg
This song/CD is so good it's ridiculous. This video is just ridiculous.

The Dandy Warhols - We Used to be Friends
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrnA8LgA3co
The best TV theme song ever (except MAYBE The OC's) happens to be from the best TV show ever (definitely not The OC). This song is amazing.

Tegan and Sara - I know x3
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCMkY2ZjwPE
Also from the VM soundtrack. I like the way this song sounds.

AFI - On The Arrow
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N9K7nT8o6I
A itunes exclusive (UGH) B-side from DECEMBERUNDERGROUND. This song is really pretty, I love AFI so much. I think most people get turned off at their gothy/suicidey lyrics or the screaming or the hair or that they have their own cult. But they're pretty much the best musicians in town.
AFI - 100 Words
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRehsM1ParE
I'm really not clear on who in AFI decides which songs make it to the CDs, but this is a B-Side from one of my all time favorite albums.I could post way more but I'll settle for non-album stuff.

Rooney - Blueside
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB809oiPE1c
I don't know what happened with them, but their first CD is one of the all-time greatest.

The Strokes - 12:51
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vL7Q4jmbSI
This is their best song period! Maybe. The video is TRONtastic and the guitar sounds like a keyboard. How does he even do that?

Oasis - Live Forever
And, yknow, all their songs. I love hearing either Gallagher go on and on about how he's the most amazing musician and songwriter ever and how he's better than everyone because he is 100% right. Oasis is amazing, recognize.

The All-American Rejects featuring someone or other - Another Heart Calls
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzDvRT6liXQ
Definitely the stand-out of their latest album, I love how intense this song gets.

Weezer - Burndt Jamb
Maladroit is the best thing that Weezer has ever done. The album is so depressing and awesome. Nobody else liked it but everyone seems to think it's okay for the song Beverly Hills to exist. I wish instead of 2 mediocre albums per year they could make one disc this good.

And because it never gets old, Flava Flav singing one of my all-time favorite songs by my absolute favorite band with the most myspacey lyric of all time. This video is awesome.
Taking Back Sunday - You're So Last Summer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjcNgPGgaK8

I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.

Ajax

Woot another Pink Martini fan. :D

They just came out with another album Uncle Yuan called Joy to the World. Seems to be a Christmas, New Years album.

ow_tiobe_sb

Rishloo - "Systematomatic"

Mastodon - "Sleeping Giant" (The version used in the video differs somewhat from the one recorded for the Blood Mountain album.)

Sieges Even - "Stigmata"

Redemption - "Memory" (A song clearly inspired by the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.)

Andromeda - "In the Deepest of Waters"

Beardfish - "Roulette"

Eniac Requiem - "Endless Cosmos"

Phideaux - "The Doctrine of Eternal Ice (Part Two)"

To-Mera - "A Sorrow to Kill"

Manticora - "Forever Carousel"

Tobias Sammet's Avantasia - "Another Angel Down" and "Lost in Space" (both from The Scarecrow)
