Do hero files sometimes use helper files?

I recently acquired the TaskMasterX hero files and along with the .hero files there was another directory that contained six other files: attributes.dat,  ffxmulti.py,  powers.dat, characters.dat,  objects.dat,  and strings.txt. What am I supposed to do with these files? Do I need to merge the .dat files like you do after installing FFX?

I'm surprised on one has answered yet.

I have not tried Taskmaster X's Hero files, but usually when files are included like that, they are for merging. Always back up the un-merged files first and put someplace safe. Always.

Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I won't mind...

I believe the reason for including the dat files was because he created a fair share of custom attributes for use with his hero files.
