this is the next game I'm really excited for. Rockstar always delivers and I can't wait to get sucked into an open world Western with a great, engrossing story. I won't be able to play it much though (if I get it on release) because I'm getting married a week later and then it's the honeymoon / vacation.

I didn't know about the multi-player mode. I PO this last month. So who wants to start a gang? 
I wonder how much you can customize your character.

The mutliplay has been recently announced - I was already pumped for this game about a year an half ago with the story mode but, the multiplay takes it to a whole new level of cool & replay value - My brother is also getting the game & well be looking to join a gang

This is THE game I'm waiting on this year.  That Free Roam multiplayer looks good enough to even consider paying for XBL Gold.  The trailers are looking good.

Red Dead Revolver was so awesome...I hate that this is next gen only.  Still, perhaps I can talk my friend with the 360 into getting it.  I hope Manny is an unlockable character again!

Rockstar announced free co-op missions DLC coming this June.  Me likey co-op.  I've got my copy pre-ordered.  It's coming out on the Tuesday before a 4 day weekend...and I don't work Wednesdays.  Booyah.

Thats great news on the Co-Op missions - This game just keeps looking better & better - If Rockstar delivers on everything they have promised & the gamplay is fun then it might be in the running for game of the year

I guess the co-op mission pack DLC will be free to download, but yeah to play online co-op on the 360 you do need xbox live gold.

figures.  bleh.  I am about burnt out on my 360 for the moment anyways.  Can't bring myself to resume playing Stranglehold or the first Assassin's Creed.

Fresh off completing Mass Effect 2 (which was amazing) I can't believe just how phenomenal RDR is.  The details in the setting, the breadth of activities, the overall quality just blows you away.  There are minor issues (I've never been a fan of GTA style save system) but those problems are minor.  I can't wait to try multiplayer but for now the sp campaign is more than adequate.

There has been something new to do around every corner & i've logged about 6 hours on it today - The controls are pretty much GTA 4 minus the autoaim which is a good thing & a cover system similar to Gears of War - I've used the cover to get close enough to baddies to use my knife or fists - I would like to say more but, i don't want to blow any suprises - If the multiplay is as fun as the Campaign then this game was worth every bit of 60$ - My only problem with the game so far is that the white haired oldman at the Texas Hold'em table is cheating - To bad i'm trying to build up my fame or I would blow him away

What i have learned thus far is that I cant shoot anything while riding a horse, but I was born to herd cattle....
Seriously, this game makes herding cattle fun. Who woulda thought?

Well, I've logged all of the opening sequence and credits so far.  Seriously, I've followed a Gabby Hayes look alike on horseback to the second location and quit.  Grand total 10 minutes.  It looks purty, but danged if I have anytime to play it.

Last night I walked past a carriage and it started to vibrate and shake. It then started to jump from place to place like the Hulk. Every jump cleared hundreds of feet. I watched it leap away far off into the distance. Weird.
