1)Is there a mod so you can have more powers? (Up the limit) Is it possible? Is anyone going to create one?
2)Is there a mod so you can have more attributes? (Up the limit) Is it possible? Is anyone going to create one?

I know I cut and pasted the question..such laziness  :P

Just wondering..I got a great Magician character but the limits are stifling my play. Of course, this only for non-multiplayer,just for Danger Room.(I mean "Rumble Room"..sorry Marvel, put your lawyers away)

You can create Combo Attributes (see FFX) which allows you to add more attributes that your limit of five. For a magician, you can use the Spellcaster attribute (again from FFX) which allows you to basically create new power (spells) on the fly. I don't think there's a way to go over the limit of the amount of powers you can have, though.

How do you use the spellcaster attribute?

The manual does include rather detailed instructions on that if I do recall correctly.
I am the cat that walks by himself, all ways are alike to me.

"SPELL CASTER
By Dr Mike
This attribute allows a character to create a limited number of spell which can be stored and then used for a limited number of times before dissappearing.

To create a spell use the custom commands on a character to string together a series of three components. Once all three are selected, a power will be created and usable by a new custom command. It is wise to have several of these ready before entering into acutal combat.

Possible Components:
Start:
Increase
Decrease

Type:
Temperature
Gravity
Thought
Motion

Target:
On self
Around self
On others
Around others

Possible Spells:
Flaming Aura: a flame explosion that hits all around your character

Cobalt Shell: an ice shield that protects against heat, cold, and energy

Mass Increase: increase the character's strength and weight

Levitate: give the character limited flight

Mental Mirror: an empathic shield that reflects damage

Mind Halt: shield the character's mind from attack

Swift Heal: heal self

Motion Stop: defense against physical attack

Infernal Wave: a heat explosion damages all around the target

Cold Spell: a cold explosion damages all around the target

Earthly Pull: increase gravity around the target

Reverso: reverse gravity around the target

Fear Wave: cause panic around the target

Soothing Wave: cause mental blank around the target

Motion Wave: increase the speed of all around the target

Time Wave: freeze time around the target

Firey Curse: burn the target

Freezing Curse: encase the target in ice

Weighty Curse: increae the target's weight to excessive levels

Lunar Curse: make the target weightless and helpless

Terror Curse: panic the target

Soothing Hex: mentally blank the target

Motion Blur: excellerate the target

Time Stop: cause the target to freeze in place"

Um how do you do this..can someone noob this down for me :P

DrMike2000

Sure can!

When you first enter a level, you'll have two commands on your spellcaster.

They are:

INCREASE...
DECREASE...

Selecting either of these makes those two commands dissappear from your menu, and the next word in the sentence appears as a command when you next right click on yourself.

...TEMPERATURE...
...GRAVITY...
and so on.

You then select one of them. Then the final word appears.

So for three clicks on myself, I could go:

INCREASE... TEMPERATURE... AROUND SELF

This will make me memorise a spell that does just that, specifically INFERNAL WAVE, and this command gets added to my menu.
When I use the INFERNAL WAVE menu item, I do a heat explosion around myself, literally increasing the temperature around me.

There are 2x4x4=32 different possible spells that can be memorised by combining the words in different ways. Up to 3 spells can be memorised.

Each time you use a spell, you have a chance of forgetting it.
If you have less than 3 spells memorised, then the INCREASE and DECREASE commands will come back, allowing you to memrise a new spell.

Does that make sense?

Its all a bit fiddly and show-off-y if you ask me, and a bit of a novelty really. :)
For a magical character, you'll probably have more fun using cool attributes like TELEKINESIS, PUPPET MASTER (NATURE) and WEATHER CONTROL and some normal powers.

True, but the ability to basically have 32 powers, and only take up three command slots is a very nice feature! :D

I hope I'm not threadjacking, but here goes. I love this attribute and really want to use it for my mystic hero files. I primarily run the Rumble Room in Watch Mode and like to run tournaments with all my hero files. It doesn't look like the M25AI utilizes this attribute (I know there are a few attributes that aren't or can't be used by the AI). I was wondering if there was any way to get the AI to use this attribute? I know it would take some coding if it were possible.

I like the idea behind Spellcaster, too, but I wish it was a little more user friendly for those of us who have flaky systems (runs Photoshop fine, but still has trouble with FF). I'd like it better if you could pre-genrate the spells and set them up more like the way you do Multiform or Summon.

Yeah, it would take some coding! :)

Memorising random spells would be easy enough.
The tricky bit is you'd have to set up 32 mini-tactics for the 32 spells - the conditons for increasing your own mass and setting fire to everyone round a target are quite different. And at the end of the day you'd probably end up with a bumbling forgetful wizard who uses the wrong power for the situation all the time anyway.

It would be easier to fake it, and add a few tactics for the spells directly to the FFXTactics list, so anyone with this attribute gets a few free powers on their AI, like a random ranged explosion, random sinlg etarget attack and so on from the list of spell powers.

I'm glad you enjoy it by the way, I'm joking a bit when I knock the attribute. It was an attempt to have a character who can do anything that never really worked out due to the nature of the UI system.
