Iffy on the PG-13 rating.

PG-13 I can live with.  I mean we saw how well an R Rating worked for Watchmen.  But...  Blue skin...  Um, have they not picked up a Lobo comic?  Still, my favorite DC character getting a movie is cool news to me.

I had a similar thought...I just can't see how they think he's blue....*shrug* I do like Guy Richie as a director, so maybe this will somehow turn out to be good.

The major reason this won't work well as a film is that Lobo is a parody of 90's comics, and we don't have a film equivalent of 90s comics for movie-goers to get the joke.

I'd rather see a documentary on the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan than a movie about Lobo.  It would be far more kid-friendly.

I'd rather even see a military training video about the dangers of venereal diseases.  It would still be disgusting, but at least it would be educational...
