As far as I know, he doesn't [have any newer stuff]. All of the Kuertee changes were added into FFX (3.3) last I heard.

His SkX AI is in FFX3.3?

His AI has some neat features.  I remember testing it out once and being very impressed.

That, I don't know about. Specifically speaking, I know his camera stuff was... everything else will have to be confirmed or denied by the FFX team. :P

Nope, he quit the community way before FFX 3.3; actually, IIRC, he went MIA before 3.2. From the email exchanges I had with him at the time, he was completely rewriting the AI rather than adding to the existing M25 code (a rather huge job). As far as I know he never finished it and didn't released his latest code.

The last couple of emails I sent him didn't get a reply. I hope he's doing well.

Hmm.  The main thing I was looking for was his team-based rumble room missions.  I think there were "defend the object" type missions for AI controlled teams.  Maybe that was for  :ff:?  I was looking for a way to have AI team vs AI team battles with a litte more to it than beat each other up.

hi all!
i'm still here. i log in once-in-a while to see what's what (usually only in the first page of the mods thread).
i've been meaning to return to fftvr coding, since returning to gaming (a year ago).
but the script extender plug-in for oblivion has kept me busy modding that game.


re: my mod...
the next iteration (it was suppose to be skX3) of my mod didn't get very far.
but i learned a lot looking into the works of epimithee's, m25's, stumpy's, et.al. while building skX2.

from that and from ideas from my RL work i managed to get a good OOP AI framework working.
for example: the AI can select the best attack sequence an actor can use on an opponent.
and the attack sequence changes depending on different conditions the actor and his opponent are in.
sKX2 had this feature - but it wasn't as cleanly implemented nor as easily accessible.
and i can't remember if skX2 was able to query properties like punch-animation time, range, best power vs. a specific passive defense, etc. like this framework is able to.

but that's as far as it got.
only queries to the AI is possible from the console.

and only the vanilla powers are in the DB.
but adding ffx powers to it will be a cinch!

all this work is in my other computer at my sister's.
i'll dig it up in the weekend and release it.
i'm sure someone here will find a use for it.

and i've not really given up "yet" on building my XCOM-type mod based on the ffvsttr engine.
it's just been filed away.
