If I can get this to work right, we'll have nice, color maps, tokens for various characters, and be able to update such in real time as we play. I've only just started messing with it, but the potential is pretty exciting.

Haha, you know, I spent HOURS online this last week looking for something like this. That figures, I should have just posted here and someone would likely have suggested this! So, come on guys, availability...post it!

Gremlin has said he'd like to be in, so that's another one. Sunday night would work for him, and that seems to be a time that would be do-able.

Let me know if you need any help with your characters. Grem is thinking about doing a bat/scout type.

Also, everyone try and find an image that can be used as an icon for your chosen character. The artistic types among you can make something yourselves, some of you might be able to pull an image off of the source book or online. Maybe heromachine could fudge some of them? Either way, try and find something you won't mind being used to mark your position in the game.

Sorry guys, I've been neglecting this! I imagine we could all do with the diversion it provides, though. So, I'm not sure I understand your question UY. Stats are rolled for using three six sided dice. I generally let myself have some wiggle room, and apply the numbers to whichever stats I want.

Martial arts -here's my read, see if I'm off.

You could take it as part of the "Physical Skill" program. If you do, it will cost you 3 skill slots, meaning you could take MA + one other skill. If you do this you theoretically get the "education bonus" listed under the various origins for "Cause of Mutation.'

OR

You could take it as a secondary skill. If you do it would cost you 2 skill slots, and not get the "education bonus."

But here's the thing - as far as I can tell the education bonus does NOT apply to HtoH combat skills as there is no percentile roll with them. So there is NO reason to take MA as part of one of your skill sets. Take it as a secondary skill - it won't affect your proficiency with MA and you will be able to take more skills from the Skill Program that WILL benefit from the education bonus.

Further weirdness comes when HtoH Advanced is NOT available as a secondary skill at all.

Am I missing something here?

This doesn't seem quite right, but that's how I read it.

Well, ha, I'm probably the the wrong person to be answer this. CQ or Bearded could probably be more helpful, but I'm guessing that the idea is that if you chose H2H as a secondary skill you should be more limited in your selection. By the way, did you figure out what the education bonus actually is?

If there's still time, may I suggest 4D6, drop the lowest for stat rolling? It's our house rule and it's more forgiving without being overpowered.

Now that things are a little calmer, I can try to start building that character.

That is what Uncle Yuan did, and that is fine with me. I really am not going to be too hardcore about things, and I don't entirely understand this system myself, so just try to make a fair character.

I don't have the time to join in, but I used to love Mutants in Orbit which was the same system, but in space. It was always a great time and I'd recommend anyone to give it a try if they can fit it in.

No suggestions really. Just go crazy and have fun. It's one of those settings you can really cut loose in. If you think an idea is too wacky then amp it up some more.

So...I've been poking around at this once again, and while I still don't have time to run a campaign at the moment (the semester is keeping me very busy), I had a question that I was hoping the people familiar with this system might be able to help me with. How would one go about designing a regular thug or security guard? It's easy enough to roll up monster villains, but regular humans...well, I'm not entirely sure what that should look like. Can anyone give me some pointers?
