Howdy guys, I need some pics from comics for various portraits.  I'm using only pics pulled from comics for the portraits in the DCUG, and although I have found tons, there are some that are more difficult.  I'm going to keep a running list here, and if you have a pic or scan, or can point me to one, that'd be awesome. 

Nora Fries (Mr. Freeze's wife):  Really, just a pic of a pretty blonde from any relatively modern comic would work just fine.  Something sorta' close to this: http://www.batmantas.com/img/nora1.jpg

Any particular artist or look you're leaning towards for Pengy & the Joker?  Time frame/era?

Are you needing a generic U.S. Soldier from the comics, or is it a character I'm actually not familiar with?  If it's generic, what type of uniform are you looking for?  (fatigues, BDU's (cammo), DCU's (desert cammo), flak vest, helmet, web gear, weaponry, etc)

STAR scientists I'm assuming you just need generic....anything particularly identifying on them?

Generic U.S. soldier in BDU's, preferably wearing a helmet.  Just something to go with the _soldier mesh.

Generic scientists, basically just nerdy looking guys in lab coats.

Personally, I'd use http://www.ifanboy.com/comics/dc_comics/jokers_asylum_the_penguin/1/cover-large.jpg but that probably isn't really what you are looking for.

I see what you mean about google images now. It's hard to find non Heath Ledger jokers now. That's something I've always hated about comics turning movies.

And I'm pretty sure he means The 1000, Prev. They had generic soldiers.. if I find some pics of them, I'll see if I can hook them up. It'll be a few weeks, though.

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys!  Yeah, Google is pretty much worthless for the Joker these days.  I've checked comicvine, but y'all seem to have unearthed a few I haven't seen before.  I've also raided the old HF archives for everything I could.  They're what gave me the idea to do this.  I think I may just go with that last Joker Unko suggested, unless I find one that I really like.  Both Unko and Prev. had good suggestions, but I just can't seem to find one that REALLY looks like the Joker to me....weird, huh?   I actually rather like that last image of the Penguin that Prev. posted, and if he had his tophat on I think it would work nicely.  I like the smug self-assuredness, the bearing that he has in that picture. 

Yes, I should have clarified, but I did mean the soldiers of the criminal organization, the 1000.  I've also updated the list with other characters I need pics for.

At the very least I NEED pics of Martian Manhunter's native form, the US soldiers, and the scientists for the campaigns that are included with the first release of the DCUG.

The only STAR scientists I've found any workable images of so far has been Jenet Klyburn.  Who's Who wasn't too helpful, looked through a lot of DC Presents (where they showed up quite a bit), even went back to their first appearance....the guy wasn't even wearing a lab coat!  I think it's gonna be a bit hit & miss with this one & the soldiers....they're usually more part of the background & not really featured much.

I may have found something for the 1000, and I hope to have something up for them & Jenet sometime today.  Time for doing these things (both the doing as well as the looking) is something I don't have that much of anymore (funny how getting a job does that).

Thanks for hunting PG, I figured that SOMETHING would have to show up for scientist types, but I suppose they aren't as ubiquitous as I thought.  The same goes for soldiers...but I have a GI JOE comic I can pull some from, I suppose.  I'll have to try and do that for one of the expansions.  Keep searching, and I'll find something to tide me over for the initial release!
