Well, USA looks okay, but Hel (aka Bad Maria from Metropolis [the movie])is probably going to take a dedicated mesh or scope. Conan looks pretty fair, since he basically has Iron Jaw's skin. He needs a little work.

BY CROM!

I always wondered how it took so long for someone to do a fine Conan.

Artemis

I am completely unaware of the character but the skin for Hel is absolutley stunning - theres an amazing sense of form and the textures are absolutely beautiful.

USA looks a bit too wishy washy in the blue body suit to me though, incomparison to his stars and stripes motif asnd the golden boots the colour on the body suit just doesn't pop as much. Maybe you could add a touch of burn/dodge tool to make his highlights ccome out a bit more?
Fantastic line work though; incredibly smooth yet defined lines.

I love Conan, but Hel is deffo my favourite

I'm thinking of doing away with he reflections of USA, or changing the way the reflection layer looks. Hel is the robot woman from Fritz Lang's "Metropolis". Conan is on a wonderful mesh by Bearded In Lair, a by-product of his Iron Jaw mesh.

Outcast

Nice work on Hel Daglob. :)

Conan's face looks a little bit sleepy though. Maybe it's the eyes. Not sure.

Been playing with Pulp Versatile. On the left we have the beginnings of The Ghost-Super Detective. Another pulp character, he would still fit in a game of Fv3R. Next to him is a comic character based on The Phantom of the Opera: Clayface 1940. On the far right is The Werewolf of London, accompanied by Barnabas Collins (anyone know where I can get a nif of a silver wolf's head cane?).

The other three guys are not on PV. The Lynx, the guy in the cape, is an obscure Golden Age hero, and on the left of center we have The Challenger, while on the right is The Golden Gladiator. The Golden Gladiator was created and designed by Jim Steranko, in his pre-SHIELD days. He also drew the first story. The Challenger is supposed to be a combat master, and while there have been excellent skins for him before, this one is on a Taskmaster mesh, so he has access to Taskmaster's weapons.

Note to Outcast: I was looking for Sullen on Conan's face. I may have gotten Sleepy instead.

Any search for Metropolis will turn up more images of Maria/Hel (and some strange visitor from another planet).

Barnabas!?

Damn. That is really obscure.

jeremy355

Cool Barnabus, though I don't ever remeber him wearing green, mostly grey, black, brown double breasted suit coats. On a side note I met Jonathan Frid several years back, he was very nice.

daglob

The green was just for fun. When I saw Dark Shadows, he always wore gray (and everyone in the show either wore black, white or gray ;))

I would never have thought Barnabas was more obscure than The Ghost or The Lynx...

Wish I knew where my copy of Barnabas Collins in a Funny Vein went...

Scorpion13mk2

Perhaps not as obscure overall, but certainly in context of what you would see in  :ff:.

BentonGrey

Hey Daglob, some really nice stuff recently.  I especially like your Conan!  Why didn't you come out with him when I was working on PCT? ;)

On the far left we have The Vagabond, either a policeman disguised as a hobo, or a crime fighting hobo, depending on when the story you are reading takes place in his career. Behind him is Clownface from the Body Bags series. I may scope a pouched belt on his waist and give him a knife. The kid is Blackie, the Mystery Boy, the sidekick of The Lynx. Wolverine is just a straight Wolverine_REN, but is in the early stages of a Hydra uniform. Behind Wolvie is Darkling and behind her is Dr. Calagari, looking a bit more buff than I really expect he might.

Artemis

wow - wolverine's claws are huge.......well the characters claws are huge.

laughing paradox

I really like that big blue guy with the smiley face. Who is that? Wolverine looks great.

Blkcasanova247

I can't help it that I look so good baby! I'm just a love machine!

Cyber Burn

I like Darkling, any plans on any of the other Crusaders characters?

daglob

Most of the Mighty Crusaders have been done; Yellow Lantern did The Fly and Fly Girl, and Copper Age and The Vigilante have done most of the rest (I put The Black Hood and Blackjack on The Phantom mesh; now they have guns). If I ever figure out how to do The Hangman's collar, I'll do him.

A bunch of stuff, some old, some new.

When I first came back to the game, I got Spy vs. Spy, but couldn't use it because it was FFv3R. So for fun I did a "real" version with Pulp Versatile. So in the back on the left is the White spy. His sable coutnerpart is on the other side. Next to The White spy, is antoher Super woamn. This is an old skin, but a new scoped mesh. The old scope wouldn't convert to FFv3R. Next to Superwoman is The Masked Marvel, two-fisted insurance investigator. He's from an old serial. He is followed up by an obscure golden age hero named Sub-zero Man. Then is Lady Justice, or at least one of her. Next ot Lady Justice is Deadman, and behind him is Deadman. One is on Male Alpha Collar, the other is on Detourneme's scope of Bearded's Ghost Man mesh. Next to him is the beginnings of Animala, from The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. From my old sketchbooks, we have a design for Spider-Woman I did a long time ago. Then the aforementioned Black Spy, followed by an old design I did for She-Devil.

Then there is this:

President Raygun

Wow, Karloff's face looks awesome. Great work DG.

Artemis

Great Face work there.

Deadman/men are great. Lady Justice is very well done also. They're the standouts for me but everything else is really good too!

would you happen to have links to copper age and vigilante's stuff? As for what I would like to see, I was thinksingof Comet and shield, both from the red circle line, and from the impact line.

murs47

excellent deadman and that face is really good too

They are in the second Yahoo group, but there are a lot of obscure characters in both Copper Age's stuff and Vigilante's.

And that face work on whoever that guy/mummy is, is unbelievable.

Super job!

The face is a doctored photo of Boris Karloff as The Mummy. If you haven't seen the original, he wakens and disguises himself as Ardath Bey, supposedly a contemporary man with a serious skin condition. Or something. Just about everyone in the move seems to overlook his somewhat whithered appearence.

"He went for a little walk... HAHAHAhahahahahahahahah..."

Probably going to release another Lady Justice on the Female Longhair Jacket Guns mesh...
