i use an old trick to make adamantium like damage, example: for wolverine i swap stun to mentaldamage in his character customization in ffxedit, so he can ignore most of invulnerability, and can do damage even to the hulk.

today ive implemented this to hawkeye: give him a projectile attack named "adamantium arrow" (this attack do a rage damage cause i want still use my "stun arrow") so i swap rage to mentaldamage in ffxedit.

P.S.:i think this can be used even for cap or blackpanther, with this lil trick many character can still be useful in difficoult battles, and not only a "sitfillers" like everyone have this attribute racial  :)

I used to do this too but later switched to max (60) piercing damage with the claw attribute to simulate adamantium. Just because Wolverine has claws coated in adamantium doesn't mean that they can cut clean through everything. I have seen issues when his claws had a hard time piercing some of the more powerful guys like Hulk and Hyperion. I suppose if Logan had Colossus's strength then I would say he could cut through anything like a lightsaber.

Aren't his claws just like lightsabers?

yeah, Wolverine is limited to his own strength in what he can cut; Marvel lists him as a normal strengthed man for his size & what-not, but to be carrying around all that metal in his body you would think he would HAVE to have super-strength, not to mention all that jumping around he does.

Actually Logan can press 800lbs according to this site http://www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/w/wolverine.htm. That would make him as strong as Captain America. I imagine that Warpath can inflict the same if not more damage with his vibranium knives due to his much higher strength level, ten tons.

Whatever his official stats, Wolverine is usually portrayed as stronger than anything in the normal human range. That may be realistic, since his healing factor would allow him to train far more than a real person could. (Of course, one could also argue that his superfast healing would also limit the benefits of strength training by healing the tiny tears that normally induce the body to build muscle.)

But, even if he is at the absolute peak of human strength, showing him using his claws to cut through some of the stuff he does (thick steel bars, armored vehicles, etc.) is silly. It doesn't matter how hard or sharp the claws are, as long as they have some thickness, it would take really superhuman strength to get them to cut through those things.

always liked john byrnes portrayal of wolverine better than anyones.

in many issues wolverine cut the hulk, so if he can cut him...

captmorgan72

In the end it all depends on who is writing the comic. One issue Wolverine is having a hard time piercing Hulk's skin and in another he is slicing up Hulk like no tomorrow.

well i think isnt only a question of strenght, is also a matter of cut tecnique and wolvie as enough training in blades. i mean anle of cut ecc...for not mention the fact he live with his own blades.
