Justice Lords

So I have a bit of a conundrum. I decided, mostly on a whim, to pull my dcau League and Lords out of my figure bin. And while the League is simple enough (technically Jordan is a whole thing but I'mjust using dcau kyle instead) the lords are my conundrum.

Tl;dr, I cannot even headcannon a universe where DCAU Green Arrow goes along with the Lords. Batman is already a stretch, and even he changes sides. And while I could just go "frick it" and include him anyway (I even have design ideas) I'm thinking if going sort of quasi Dark Avengers with it... maybe Ollie didn't join, but maybe another Archer did, like Malcolm Merlyn. Thinking specifically of his Arrow counterpart, since the dcau version is just kinda there.

Flash is in a similar boat, but while I have a custom Lords style Flash, it looks like I will end up buying the Reverse version anyway (Lords J'onn is only available in a 3 pack with it), so that'll likely be my goto

Canary I see going similar to Ollie, but I've got an idea there too: Black Siren from the Justice Guild. She wasn't a villain, but maybe in the Lords timeline she survived somehow and joined the league. Tbh, that one's more the fact that Black Siren has become the "evil" Canary counterpart in the CSA, so I want to include her.

Based on my league setup (under the spoiler tag) are there any others you see breaking off? Who would you replace them with?

Waiting on the last few stragglers for my League to come in, will probably start working on Lords next. Aside from those with more or less official Lord designs (Flash is a whole thing but Imma move past it), I *think* I've got all my designs worked out.

Most are fairly straightforward, a few are subbed out: Merlyn for Ollie, Black Siren for Black Canary, and Hal for Kyle. Reverse Flash is also going to effectively get subbed in for Flash (based on the Brainiac Construct in "Divided We Fall"), so I feel like that's a good mix.

I'm not familiar with the storyline but i really like the designs for Black Siren and Zatanna. I see you went with the Merlin archer as well. The only one which doesn't sing to me is Cyborg. He seems a little bland next to the others. Might just be the lack of shininess on the art representing his metallic parts. They should all look really good as figures though.

Yeah, I had a lot of problems figuring out Cyborg. To briefly explain, the JLU figure I'd be working from has a lot of baked in detail on the limbs, so it's a question of trying to balance the detail with the Justice Lords elements. I also don't love his torso, the JLU figure uses a plain one with no detail, I may sub it out for like Brainiac or something to give it more detail.

Just to circle back around to this... the Justice Lords are what Injustice was more or less based on. The easiest way to put in context is that instead of the inciting incident being Lois and a nuke, in the Lord's case it was the death of the Flash. Batman was on-board (ish), there really wasn't a separate hero faction fighting against them.

If I remember correctly in the episodes, it wasn't an alternant reality, but the main JLU universe in the future. In a later episode when the future events caught up to the present, with the foreknowledge of what was to happen, the Flash was able to change things and defeat Lex without dying.

Took another crack at Cyborg, and while I was at it I tweaked Hal to have his Mr Fantastic sideburns. In fairness, I always intended to include them (I intentionally went very Parallax coded with Hal), I just didn't think of a great way to do them at the time.
