Hello

It's been a very long time since I was last here. I can't seem to reactivate my Shazam account, so I've had to use this one.

This is embarrassing, because I one knew exactly how to do what I'm about to ask. I want to be able to change the  :ffvstr: intro music to the  :ff: music. I have the file, but have forgotten how to use FFedit.

Can anyone help? Perhaps Benton?

Hey Shazam, of course I already sent this to you via PM, but I'm going to post it here for public reference:

Oh sure, simplest thing in the world!

Now, to alter the menu music, you just need to go to whichever folder you want (mod or main game, what-have-you).  Then go to MyMod/Sounds/Musak.  If the Sounds folder and Musak don't exist, you can copy them from the main Data folder, or, if all you want to do is switch out one or two things, you can simply create the folders.

The main theme is in the Musak folder, and whatever you replace it with, or whatever you put in that folder in your mod folder that has the same name, will be played instead.  The file name is: FF00_metagame.mp3

So, take whatever music you want, give it that name, put it in that folder, and you're good to go. There's one caveat.  All game sounds are mono MP3, not stereo, so make sure you've got it in that format, or the game won't read it.

That's it!  Have fun!
God Bless
