Hello everyone, is there a website with US agent skins anywhere?

DimLab

Thanks! I also wonder if anyone has any Morlocks from the X-Men, such as Plague, Samson, Obsidian?

captchaossega

Your welcome. :)

Just curious, do you have a working male_alpha_collar mesh? (One where the transparencies work properly?)

captchaossega

Thank you but unfortunately it doesn't work properly with the transparencies with custom skins with smaller collars. (Iron First collar is too high, and Karate Kid and Max Mercury collars are black above where the shorter collar textures end.

I heard there is a corrected version and I messaged Cyber-Burn if he had one as I saw in a older post he had it.

Hope the US Agent mesh/skin works for you.

I got a nice Christopher Reeve Superman Skin for the male_cape mesh that I got from the old skindex site back in 2003.

Take care!

Hey Captchaossega,

Just FYI, you won't be hearing from Cyber Burn. He passed away a few years ago.

As for the male_alpha_collar, I may be able to whip something up. If Cyber had something for it, I may have it. If I cannot find it, I might be able to create it.

spydermann93

Try this: https://www.mediafire.com/file/qwmwsnjtlgl2xzy/male_alpha_collar.zip/file

I adjusted the NiAlphaProperty on the collar. Hopefully that does something for you.

captchaossega

Sorry to hear about that. I'm fairly new to these boards. Was aware of Da Glob's passing but not Cyber-burn.  :(

If you have a corrected mesh, just let me know while I begin the hunt for other FF skins. Digging through CDs and found a lot but need to buy CD Roller to access me old CDRs that were never finalized.

Thank you for your help and support.

Tried it but it doesn't work in FF but it works in FFvTTR. You have one made or converted for the first FF? All I get is a white block in FF1. Works great in the sequel though.

Thanks again.

Capt C.

P.S.  I made a decent Mr. Freeze hero file and I have a good Mr. Freeze specific Mesh if interested.

oktokels

Hello, i have a few questions:

Quote from: spydermann93 on September 26, 2023, 10:11:03 PMI adjusted the NiAlphaProperty
Can you describe how you adjusted it? I'm familiar with Nifskope, but not with the specifics of the NiAlphaProperty

Quote from: captchaossega on September 27, 2023, 09:38:38 PMI made a decent Mr. Freeze hero file and I have a good Mr. Freeze specific Mesh if interested
Mind if i see them? Can you post a picture of both the hero file and the mesh?

Thanks in advance

captchaossega

Hey there oktokels!

Trying to insert some screen captures of it for you here. Did they show? If not I'll e-mail you both the mesh and hero file. FYI it's for the first FF and will require the FX pack from Alex FF Site.

spydermann93

Yeah, so to add an alpha to a piece of a skope, you just need to right-click on the node, usually a TriShape, and select Node > Attach Property > NiAlphaProperty

Once you have that added, right-click on the NiAlphaProperty and click Flags.

In the Flags dialog box, here are the settings that Cyber and I found to work the best:

Enable Blending: Checked
Source Blend Mode: Src Alpha
Destination Blend Mode: Inv Src Alpha
Enable Testing: Checked
Alpha Test Function: Greater
Alpha Test Threshold: 125
No Sorter: Unchecked

Click Accept, save your nif, and it should work in FFvtTR. I don't know about FF, though. I haven't touched that game in a long time, but the process might be something very similar.

Yeah, so the mesh I posted has been converted to FFvtTR's format. Do you have NifSkope? If so, try doing what I posted above on an original copy of the mesh and see if that works for you.

captchaossega

I'll try downloading NifSkope and giving it a shot but I have no 3d modeling experience.

I'll update you with results.

ah it didn't work. Loaded the original FF1 mesh and entered the settings but the collar is still the same (tall and non transparent where it should be according to which custom skins are used.)    :banghead:

Worst case scenario I have an alternate Iron Fist mesh (non collar but has waist sash) I that I can convert the original hero file I got from Alex FF long ago to the new mesh. Kinda wanted the cool collar though.

Thanks for your help. If you have any other solutions or find a ff1 alpha-collar mesh that works drop me a line. I'll keep in touch. Thanks again.

spydermann93

Have you tried looking at the original male_alpha mesh and checking to see how its alpha properties have been done? His little claw thing on his hand should have an alpha to it.

captchaossega

I load up the original FF1 mesh. It gives me data but no model appears on the right while the FF2 one does. That said I am really overwhelmed by all the data and don't know what the heck I'm doing. Even if I find the claw thing data (closest I could find was 'weapon'), I wouldn't know what to do with it.

WyldFyre

Unfortunately, a lot of the FF1 meshes do not display alphas properly. This is more because of the evolution of graphics cards than settings in meshes. FF2 corrected this although some meshes may still not display correctly.

If you look at various skins in nifskope, they will display correctly. If you look at them in ctool or in game the alphas don't work. Most modern graphics are far above what FF was designed for.

Some meshes DO work correctly, or partially, i.e. male_alpha. The various head and limb alphas work but the cape does not. I think some of Tommyboy's meshes have working alphas. Where FF meshes are concerned you sometimes have to look for alternatives.

Hope this explanation helps somewhat.

captchaossega

Yeah, I was prepared to get some alternatives. I have an alternate Iron Fist mesh from the Freedom Force Paradox site without the collar that works although I kinda wanted the classic look.
Also Falcon is a hard one to find a good mesh. The skin I want to use needs the Black_Bolt_NoFork by BeardedInLair and I have yet to find that one.

There are also 7-8 elusive meshes I have yet to find. But I think I found a good alt mesh regarding the male_14 foot by Valandar. Instead I found Grenadier's Giant_Man_Gren that works and I'm assuming the size is nearly identical.

Also there are approx 30 something elusive skins as well although I did find a few.

Thank you for your input. Really helps. :)

Capt C.

WyldFyre

Post a list of meshes and I'll see what I can do. I know I have the bearded one somewhere.

captchaossega

Thank you for offering to help.

  Here's a list of meshes I can't find:

Aquaman by Fusion
Black_Bolt_NoFork by BeardedInLair / Capt. Wigster
Male_14Foot by Valandar  (although I think  Giant_Man_Gren  by Grenadier might be the same mesh)
Golden_Age_Flash by BeardedInLair (will use an alternate if unavailable)
Male_Cape_Mohawk_Crest by Valandar
Lobo by Gni   (will use an alternate if unavailable)
Superwoman_V2 by Fusion
Female_Tina_Alpha by Halfscan

also a working mesh for Falcon. I tried the Courtnall6 threepack but it doesn't come with keyframes and can't get it to work properly. Best result is a white mesh.

My Skin list is longer but that I'll save for another day.

Thank you again!

I'll try to get something up for you this weekend.

I had all of the meshes. The Falcon KF you need are from Ink's Falcon mesh. Should be available at Heroforce.

captchaossega

Thank you so much! Just added them. Had some alternate giant meshes but the 14foot works the best for me. You really are a great help and I really appreciate it. Thank you again.

Between all of the meshes and skins that I did have and the ones I did find beforehand, I have restored approx over 170 of the 208 heroes from the hero files I had saved from Alex's FF site that he used to have. Most are the same skins and meshes although I did use alternative meshes for some. Mainly a newer Iron First mesh for Iron first and converted Vilgilante's Max Mercury skin (with GIMP) to the model and a Karate Kid skin to a newer Karate Kid Model. Also used a Grenadier's Electro Mesh that works perfectly with Courtnall6's Electro Skin.

Got approx 30 skins left on the wish list but that's a story for another day. The Meshes were top priority and thank you again. :)

If there's anything you might be looking for, don't hesitate to ask me as well.

DimLab

Does anyone have a mesh male_belt?

Randomdays

Uploaded to my megasite (see at bottom)O in the requests folder. Comes with over 50 skins that I had with it.

DimLab

Thank you very much, otherwise I couldn't find it anywhere
