I just downloaded Freedom Force X and the FFX 3.0 control center just keeps scanning and nothing happens. When I try to use the play FFX 3 shortcut I get an error message saying Application Load error followed by a bunch of numbers. Has this happened to anyone else?

What version of the game are you using (CD install, Steam, GoG, etc.)? Each of these will have a different install directory and that will cause issues with add ons and mods that are set up to find the default installation directory.

Welcome to the boards, by the way. Seeing your post in another thread, maybe "welcome back" is more appropriate. As you learn your way around here and discover all of the things available, you will also find that the more information you can provide, whether it's a request, technical issue, or anything else, the more it will help us in getting you the answer you need.

Thank you Hoss. I'll try to be more detailed in the future. I am using the Steam version of the game which is found here: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich. When I download the setup.exe for FFX I make sure it is saving to F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\ffx3.

Good. The first thing I was going to check was to make sure that you installed FFX in the Steam directory for Freedom Force.

In order for the FFX Mod to launch properly, you need to change the target of the FFX shortcut so that it launches from the proper place. If the location you mentioned above is the full address for your install, then this is what you will need to type in the target section in the Properties window of the FFX shortcut: "F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\ffvt3r.exe" -game ffx3 -log

You are essentially just adding the -game ffx3 -log part. Make sure that you have the <space> before the beginning of it.

I can't remember if FFX needs to run first before the Control Centre can initialize. It shouldn't matter if you don't have any hero files yet. I know you have your other thread with the question where to put your hero files. Hopefully, someone else that has the Steam version can help out with Control Centre problem if getting FFX to start up doesn't help.

The target for the FFX shortcut was already set to "F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\ffvt3r.exe" -game ffx3 -log. I noticed as well when I initially installed the FFX MOD that it said no EZ FX files were found and it created an FX data file or something to that effect.
