ok guys can we get back onto the topic of the thread rather than your personal soap box about the state of modern comics.

Sorry TUE, I didn't mean to derail the thread.  I just found that expression hilarious.  You can't say that the analogy isn't clever.

Anyway, I haven't read the series, but it's a shame they didn't pull from the 200X version, because that one was already updated and would have worked fine.

not a worry BG, i just know where that line of topic was going

the 200x story line was mostly ignored mainly due to a lot of behind the scenes play form guys at mattel and its stretched right back to the 200x based comic of the same time. if you can find any of it give it a read even with all the nasty crap going on behind it, its a damn good read

I've got a couple issues based on the 200x show.  I know there were at least two different "volumes" (maybe more?) and were multiple publishers involved as well?  I've found it a confusing series to try and research/index.

So did anybody follow this crossover through till the end?  I've only read the second issue, but I would like to track this down when it comes out in the inevitably TPB format.  Apparently
Spoiler
Queen Marlena
shows up and factors heavily in this one.  And I guess He-Man finally gets to face off with Orko and learn some details about why he betrayed the Masters.

I've been following the He-Man ongoing series, which is now up through issue #12.  The writing and characterization has, in my opinion, been much improved under Abnett than Giffen, though it still isn't perfect.

Issue #12 marked the conclusion of the "What Lies Within" arc (which had been running since issue #7), and it's introduced some shocking reveals into the current He-Man mythos.  Some characters have died, and other characters like King "Randor" (I don't want to spoil that one if you haven't read) and Teela have experience some BIG changes.  Just check out her new look...

Sure to be a subject of much debate amongst long-time MOTU fans, I'm sure.   :D
