Playing this on PC and I'm loving it. Previosly I had only tried out the Wii version of Dead Rising 1 and despite being famous for being a pale imitation It really caught my interest. Well, I pre-ordered Dead Rising 2 and I'm not dissapointed, it feels like a mix of Walking Dead and GTA San Andreas... and the lines between serius and silly are barely visible.

- It takes place in a world where Zombies are old news, so there is no big outbreak. Instead zombies are used (in some places) as cannon fodder for brutal pay per view entertainment.

- The protagonist is interesting... despite looking like a shallow "extreme dude" his backstory and motivations are pretty nuanced.

- zombies are EVERYWHERE. The good news is that everything is a weapon, most furniture, decorations and tools can be picked up and used to smash heads.

- It is a console port so not only do you not have instant saving, but also the game has long stretches with crazy challenges that dont allow you to save. Expect to re-do the same part 5 to 10 times over the course of an hour... ugh.

- For an open world game you are always late for a very important date. Seriosly if you dont budget your time not only do you lose, but you may have to start the game all over again (with the benefit of hindsight and experience).

Playing it on PS3. My first run I got S ending.
I hate online achievements, so hard to get first in the TIR events.

I only played Case Zero, which was pretty much a demo.  I put off buying this one in favor of Fallout New Vegas and RB3, just because I figured I wouldn't have the time to play everything.  This is definitely a must have, as they've improved on the original one.  The whole "keep your daughter safe" adds a level of stress and motivation to keep you on task.  Lots of cool stuff in the trial version, so I can only imagine the full game being exceptional.  I'll be picking this one up, maybe for Christmas.
