Why isn't anybody talking about this? I saw it today and thought it was awesome. Didn't have to explain how people had powers or how he knew how to fight. It was great action pack scenes with a kickin soundtrack.
Long live Slaanesh, Prince of Pain!!!

BWPS

I actually did but in retrospect I put a really terrible title on my topic.
I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.

I've seen this twice and I like this condensed version of the novels!  I really dig it.  The type of person that would go see this (us) doesn't really need an explanation for the powers and the fights and such.  I had to describe it to my girlfriend as Edgar Wright described it on NPR: "...seeing reality through Scott's eyes as opposed to how it really is".  After that, she quieted down and totally dug it.  She said it was a chick flick as made by me...or friends of mine at the least.  She actually understands me a little bit more now for having seen it.  That is an accomplishment for any media.

I think I described it as "a movie that looks like its made by 4chan"

It's visually stunning, but a lot of things don't make sense from our viewpoint - I completely agree with that NPR description. HOWEVER - that doesn't stop it from being an awesome movie. Pity it didn't do so well in the box office...didn't even cover the marketing campaign :(
I so need booze -_-

The expectation is that it will do well in DVD/BluRay sales, much like Kickass. Haven't seen it yet but I'd like to.

It kills me that Scott Pilgrim got beaten by Vampires Suck at the box office. SP had everything going for it, yet it was obviously too hard to sell via marketing.

UnkoMan

Well I loved it. Because it was great. GREAT!

Reepicheep

Vampires Suck has a massive advantage. Twilight and its sequels have done all the promotion for it already.
