I've really been wondering if this were any good.  The previews just looked amazing.  Thanks for the recommendation BWPS, I'm going to go see it! :)

Question - Has Leo been in a bad movie yet? Catch me if you can, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Romeo & Juliet revamp, The Departed, Basketball diaries, The Quick & the Dead,  etc... why would this be any different

The beach for sure.

And I loved "revolutionary road" but I can picture 90% of people not enjoying a long movie about a couple screaming at each other.

Aghh ok I kinda like'ed The Beach - While not his best picture to date but, better than most other performances that i've seen from other actors his age - So sad how RR ended with her doing the abortion & killing herself - That sceen infront of the window was intense with Winslet bleeding - I'm excited to go see this flick on Sunday

I managed to find some free time last night (of which Ive had none) to see Inception and it was fantastic.
I totally recommend it.

And uh Spoiler tag about Revolutionary Road would have been nice for those of us that hadn't seen it (and apparently now don't have to).

Though in this case I'm glad he didn't use a tag because I wouldn't have clicked on it and this way I know to never ever watch that movie EVER. (Not that I would have but ya never know).

I've never seen a bad movie with Leonardo DiCaprio in it (I used to hate Titanic, but I was also 10 when it came out), and I'd also say he was in two of the 5 best movies of this year (probably #1 Inception and #4 Shutter Island). He's really great, I'm proud of him.

This movie is really really great, probably no spoilers, but tagged just in case (though really why are you reading  this thread? GO SEE IT!)

I love how this explained the logistics of how the dreaming worked. It made so much sense. I'd been having crazy dreams-within-dreams recently and waking up had become more difficult. Really clever stuff without being convoluted AT ALL. In fact, I was afraid this would end up trying to be too much of a "mind****" movie (which in some cases when I get it is cool, but in other cases like Mulholland Drive is totally uncool). But it definitely felt like more of an action/scifi epic - like The Matrix, only better.
I really hyped it up a lot in my mind since the trailer was so good and it's from Nolan who is the best director OF ALL TIME PERIOD THIS MOVIE PROVES IT, and I'm glad I wasn't disappointed. I doubt any more good movies are coming out this year so this is your chance, go see now!

I, too, would like to see this film.  In addition, I will simply say, "Yes," to Electro's question (and I won't be more specific than that, for I seem to be in the minority with respect to my opinion of Mr. DiCaprio's acting skills and choice of films to appear in), and I will add that, once again, the Boy(withapointystick) has made me feel very, very old with his last post (which, I assume, is part of his raison d'ĂȘtre).

Know what I think would be a better movie? The sequel: Dora in Incepcion. Can you say movie gold? (pause) Very Good!

The movie was very good.  I didn't think that Ellen Page would fit in, but she did.  This is a must buy when it comes out on DVD & Blu-Ray

Just wanted to thankyou for those links! Helped re define some of my theories and answered a good deal of my questions! :)

I thought Shutter Island was way too obvious. But I also didn't really like Gangs of New York, and thought the Departed was pretty good but not incredible. Romeo and Juliet was awesome though. I will also ad that I don't think Leo is that great an actor. He sure does like pretending to be surly and tortured though.

So to continue in my downer mode I will say this is a decent reverse heist movie, but as a dream movie it is sorely lacking. Way too straightforward and logical. I was expecting mind benders and didn't get a single one.

I'd list things like the chase scene in Being John Malkovich or Eternal Sunshine or Paprika as being more dream like, off the top of my head. Now you could say it's a cop out since they use fantastical dreams, but how about Inland Empire? There's a fantastic dream movie. Totally confusing though, and I didn't know what the heck was happening, and actually didn't think it was so good either, but that's way closer to a dream.

Stuff shifts all the time in dreams. People change, places change. This was just too literal. Too logical. Too cold.

But if I don't think about it and just eat my popcorn then it was pretty fun. Ha ha, I just like to be devil's advocate sometimes, you know?

It was good. I won't say it blew my mind, but it was good. Really, it's the supporting cast that was the best thing I think.
Long live Slaanesh, Prince of Pain!!!

I was expecting it to be brilliant or really hate it and it be full of holes like the Dark Knight. It was neither. It was to me a good but not remarkable film. The acting, story and direction were all good just  neither of the extremes I was expecting.

I found the dream worlds pretty mundane actually. There was a built in excuse for it true but even at the end we only got a few hints of the fantastical nature that I felt should have been there.

Maybe I've read to much SF and seen to many SF movies but my mind was not blown at all. Conceptually been there done that. Its the execution that pleases or displeases me in these sorts of films. Its worth a view but not a DVD to me.

I personally am not a DiCaprio fan; so far, my favorite Leo movies have been Romeo and Juliet, Titanic, and The Quick and the Dead (his character dies in all three of them); however, this doe look like a movie that would be good to see.

Reepicheep

I loved it. But then, the kind of film that you can debate about and theorise over is my kind of film.

Spoiler
I got the plot twist quite early, but that may have been because I knew there was one. I went in with the mindset 'what could possibly change my view on everything I'm seeing'. One of my favourite aspects of the film was how they clue you in to the truth all the way through. By the time they were talking about limbo during the inception, I knew.

Ok, I read this the other day and it is SO GOOD. Which is understandable considering how good DuckTales always is.
