Sound Powers

How do you guys represent powers like a Banshee or Black Bolt scream? Or weakness to it like for Venom?

I usuallly just make them as crushing attacks with a chance of stun.

How would you show weakness to a bulky character like Venom who is somewhat resistant to crushing dmg?

Really, I never made him weak to sonic abilities. I've thought about making sonic attacks energy, but then he'd be weak against Iron Man's uni-beam (which I made as an energy attack). Making him weak against stun seemed like a good idea at first, but then he would be stunned too much in fights since most (not all) of my characters have a low chance to stun when they punch.

In my FF Marvel games, I use energy as sound.  Then I use radiation for laser-based powers like iron man's unibeam.  The rest are pretty much like they sound; acid for corrosives, crushing for blunt and force, etc.  I like using energy for sound since both concrete and stone are not resistant to it, much like in the real world.

I like representing sound as a number of things, since it is kinetic energy, after all.

Regular bludgeoning powers, sonic cutters, high knock-back, high stun, disintegration beams..they all work.

That's defenitely a unique way of using your powers. I like that idea. Very creative.

Hmm...I like that.  I should probably start using that.
