Favorite PS2 space shooters

I have been in the mood to get a good space shooter game for PS2, since I havnt purchased a game since 2004 I am quite a bit out of sinc with the whole gaming community. I did a yahoo search for any top PS2 space shooters but came up dry, so could anybody give me some ideas for a good space shooter out there?  I am only interested in single player games (no online games).
I remember playing a game called Colony Wars for PS1 that I thought was awsome, anything like that out there for PS2?

The only one I can think of is Star Wars: Starfighter for the PS2.  It got decent reviews, but I never actually played it, so take my recommendation with a grain of salt.  I just thought of it because I'm getting back into Star Wars mode, and read about it while looking up Jedi Academy info.
