So I'm sitting here looking at FFvTTR in Watch Mode in the Rumble Room and I have Hulk vs Thor and they've entered their second half hour.  It made me want to ask a question.

Yes, my Hulk vs Thor match up will be nearing a hour by the end of this post and I love watching this stuff.  This particular match-up can go anywhere from 10-20 minutes to days.  Yes, plural.  It's a lot of fun to watch.  By time their done, most of the city is leveled.  Both of them give each other power shots that can knock each other half a block away, hitting each other with 20, 30 sometimes as high as 40 or 50 and in Hulk's case well in to the 100s hp attacks.

Now in case you're wondering how this is possible, I've given Hulk a Invulnerability 50 and Regernation attribute.  Thor, I've given Physical Resistance, Immortal and Iron Jaw attributes.  I know some go for a gameplay balance vs a more comic-based level of power, but I prefer the ladder.  I try to balance it out with weaknesses like giving the Hulk Accidential Change and have him changed to Banner when he's mentally blanked and Thor, technically isn't invulnerable.  But nevertheless, it makes it pretty entertaining.

I've called the thread Hulk Vs to put it out there to see if there are certain characters in your game that can match up with your Hulk like mine can(can't really).  Is your Hulk balanced?  If you put him up against the Colossuses, Things, Juggernauts, Abominations, Sentrys or even Wolverines or any other character you have, what is normally the result?

To be honest, Hulk is probably one of the strongest(offensive and defensive) characters in my game.  Though it takes him a while to do it, he will eventually beat Thor.  He normally beats anyone else within 10 minutes(because of his offensive capabilities, ie strength).  He can beat almost everyone in the game that I will put him against with a couple of exceptions.  For instance, in a Hulk vs Thanos match-up, it ends up being a push.  Hulk can barely reach Thanos to attack due to his offensive abilities and Hulk can effectively resist any attacks.  However, likely given time, the Hulk could possibly win.  As for another character, Galactus, the match is over within minutes.  Hulk can do absolutely nothing.  In fact, I didn't even know Ren had the changing animation included until like a months after I've been playing with it.  If you think my Hulk is overpowered, my Galactus is insane.

Right now I'm watch the two of them fight as a building is collasping around them in a cloud of smoke and I all I only see "WOK!", "SMACK!", "KRANG!" and and numbers 48, 23, 36 fly in the air above and then I see Hulk out of nowhere fly out of the cloud and land almost a block away block away.  Fun stuff.

Well, I think Invulnerability 50 is too much. If in addition you add regeneration, your Hulk is practically invincible.
I would use Invulnerability 15 or 20 without regeneration and crushing, piercing... resistance.
And honestly, if you use DC characters I think Superman would defeat Hulk.

Hulk vs Superman, two options:

please, lets not get started on how "SUPER" and superior superman is above everyone else.thats why i dont like comparing dc v.s marvel.far out fantasy v.s an attempt at reality.in my world, superman and hulk are even power wise.hulk has fast healing where supes has heat vision and freeze breath.

My Superman vs Hulk battles tend to have BOTH of the results shown in Dr. Ruinia's comic pics.  I'm very satisfied with how they play against each other.   Superman's a 20 STR and Hulk is anywhere between an 18 and 21 STR depending on his energy level.

Manipulating FFX is fun.

Also what Lightning Man and Kenn-X have been doing lately.

I always go for balance. None of my hero files is unbeatable (although some are, indeed, considerably more powerful than others), and the fights don't last nearly as long as what you have mentioned.

I don't give Invulnerability to any of my characters, and if a character can regenerate, I only give them Fast Healing, even if they're Wolverine. I also don't like it when a character is "Very Resistant" to some kind of damage.

It's still interesting to see how people have their own opinions of what makes the game enjoyable.

Oh, and to answer your question, my Hulk is balanced, I'd say. He usually beats most other super-strong guys, although Juggernaut can beat him sometimes, and Superman always beats him. I'm still working on Thor and some other super-heavyweights, so I don't know how he'd fare against them. However, my Hulk usually takes a lot of damage before defeating his opponent. That's because, for really strong guys, like Hulk, Juggernaut and others, I usually give their attacks Slow swiftness, so they will often miss when fighting guys like Wolverine and Captain America. That's because I picture those bruisers caring only about delivering the strongest possible blow, neglecting accuracy. So, if they hit once, it's usually over, but the trick is getting that hit in when fighting Spider-Man and other very slick heroes. I think it makes the battles interesting, as street-level heroes, as long as they can move well, won't look all that pathetic when fighting the heavyweights.

Sincerely I believe that to play with a character with high invulnerability and regeneration is not funny (for me).
I give my characters invulnerability because I don' believe that Captain America or Batman might to hurt Hulk seriously for much that they try (Though I understand that this would be not funny).
And my results in battles versus Hulk would be:
Hulk vs Juggernaut: 50%
Hulk vs Thor: 60% 40%
Hulk vs Superman: 30% 70%
Though still I am doing his hero files.
