Really nice muscle definitions on that base Murs, not to mention the details on the face.

I'm no expert/artist but there's something bothering me about the groin area and thigh area's sharp cuts. It sometimes feel inconsistent with the smooth round curves i see on some other parts.

Maybe i'm just analyzing it too much though. It's a very chiseled look so there are times that i think those sharp cuts is how it should really look. :banghead: :penguinspin

Can we see a backshot as well?

I wanted the muscles to have a little bit of an overlapping look to them rather than transitioning to each other.

Very cool Murs.  The forearm is especially neat looking.

That neck looks so realistic but the forearm has toomany muscles don't 'ye think so?...

Anyway THAT'S A PRETTY arse!!!! Yuuuujuuu!

herodad1

yeah, the muscles are fine!we dont have enough thick muscular base meshes to choose from.it use to go from male_basic to male_heavy which is too bulky for some characters who are slightly bigger than male_basic.as a suggestion to whom-ever, different heighths with muscles would be nice too.nice work!

GREAT base skin! I love the way you put your name under the feet. Very clever.

Wow, gang. Can we let the guy decide whether or not he wants to release his base for the public before jumping on the, "can't wait to use it!" train? I mean, it could be for personal use. *shrugs*

Good job, Murs. I can't wait to see who'll be the first character skinned on your base. ^^

I'm not sure yet. I'm considering using it exclusively for my ultimate dc skins to give them a unique look. IDK yet. If so, I could always make some more.

In all honesty, I wanted to create something a little more universal and judging by some of the comments posted already it seems to be perceived as an ideal base for super muscular characters. Could I skin The Flash with my new base without hearing "it's too muscular"? Probably not. Which is odd because the character, like every other comic character, is drawn with very defined muscles regardless of body type. But maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions.

Anyways, I'll more than likely create a base that the community as a whole views as universal and release that for public use as a big thank you for all the support I've been given. I have no idea when that will be though.

That's not gonna be for a while. Thanksgiving break most likely. Heh.

only one way to find out
In all seriousness just do what feels right Murs.  You've been putting out some really incredible stuff lately, you're just leaving us fanboys drooling and clawing for more :)

Do a quick Flash (ish like maybe just bare bones body mask type thing) skin. It'd give us an idea how it'd look on less super muscular characters.

Well I got no problem when people try to draw superheroes with very defined muscles. I understand that people have their own style when it comes to drawing them. I saw this variant cover of Hulk#16 by Ed McGuiness and I thought Deadpool was drawn a little more muscular than usual, but i didn't think it was bad. I've always liked the skins you do, so i don't think that will change if you ever decide to try a different style. :)

UnkoMan

I don't find this skin overly muscular at all. It seems pretty much standard normal musculature for super heroes.

If you released it, I would use it for muscular characters simply because most of my characters are not. In fact, for men, I use my cartoon base which has almost no muscles whatsoever. So, for my stuff, it's muscley. For your stuff I think it'd look perfectly normal.

Tomato

see, I like it... it's got a good amount of detail but it doesn't feel as... busy as some of the other, older bases do(including IMHO, ye old C6).

murs47

I wanted to give my base a test run...so I did. I'll try and upload it later to the Champs site later for closer examination. I found some areas that need work already. Maybe you guys could spot something else as well.

herodad1

murs, i cant see a thing wrong with that.VERY nice job!

Maybe it could use some wrinkles and seams...but other than that....it's just awesome Murs. Nice job!!

Really nice facial work. The red on the glove and the boots look a little more saturated than the rest though.

That looks awesome. My only suggestion is to skope a belt on it. Really nice Murs.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm actually not to worried about how Daredevil looks exactly atm, more so how the base is working. I will be keeping your critiques in mind cause he is far from done. I'm definitely going to detail the crap out of him thanksgiving or christmas break.

Anyways, it's available on champs if anyone would like to give it a closer inspection and give any constructive criticism. :)

UnfluffyBunny

i'd say the base is working very nicely, only the belt and straps look out of place, I know it was only a test piece but you will have to kick up the detail on your extras to make it all flow nicely, I really couldnt say anything else wrong with it, nice work.

docdelorean88

Sweet! Ya know, this is the dude we need to makes some movie skins. Like Green Goblin, or The Dark Knight Etc. I mean they just look so darn realistic!

Daredevil looks solid.. I'm not seeing any flaws in that base of yours. I particularly like the knee area.. sounds crazy, but that whole section looks really defined.
