Does anyone have a link or the skin for the one UsAgent used for  :ffvstr:?  It would be greatly appreciated.  Also the rest of the 50's avengers would be nice other than human robot who I already have.  A link to the skins and meshes for UsAgents hero files would also be nice if possible.  Thanks in advance.

Tommyboy has done the Marvel Boy a few times before I think.  check his site at freedomforceforever.com

yes!  usagent, you just need to upload your entire hard drive.  a bit unrealistic, but how cool would that be.
i've asked usagent before, and he said he wouldn't mind if i made, like a hero pack mod with skins, meshes, and hero files.  i don't have the wherewithall to do it, but someone could.
alternately, what happened to that idea where there was a database with character description and links to all versions?  again, self lack of wherewithall.

I started a Master Skins List thread that had a discussion about some of that. If things around here were a little more stable, I'd start it. I just don't know if I'd be able to finish it. Well, finish isn't word. It might not ever be finshed, but I believe it could be made into a tool that would be useful to everyone, even if it was never all-inclusive. The Master Mesh List and Master Yahoo Grop List are out of date, but they are still EXTREMLY useful.

The '50s Avengers have been done at least once.

...and I'd LOVE a copy of USAgent's hard drive...

I would totally be on board for a master skin list as those seem to be the hardest to find the correct ones.  I have a question, some of the meshes I added like female_longhair for example looks like a white box with lines on it when i click to view it in the characters menu. Why is that and how do i fix it?  Also none of the 50's avengers are on Tommyboy's site anymore i believe unless i missed it.

I used to keep a list of all my meshes and what yahoo group they are in, but have no list of my site (though anyone could make one just by looking).
Not to put a burden on anyone, but if meshers and skinners listed their own work, that would be a good starting point, n'est pas?
Anyway, Marvel_boy_tf is at my site, marvel section:

My old Human robot mesh is I think in one of my yahoo groups (yep, 10th one if my list is still right).
I cannot recall doing any others other than a not great 3d-man which is....I don't know where...not worth having, where ever it is...

I have a Human Robot done by Flash22798 (is that the right number?), and maybe a 3-D man. You might check out his Yahoo groups and see if he has the rest of them. Tommy did do a Human Robot, but it may be at one of HIS Yahoo groups (24 or so). Pinnoccio has some Timely/Atlas stuff too at his groups, as I recall.

Somebody posted a list of Tommy's stuff in the Master Mesh List thread; it was copied from one Tommy supplied himself. I have a list of most of the stuff at Copper Age's groups, and I have a list of the stuff at Character Obscura in my Skins thread.

What mesh should i use with that Marvel Boy? Sry im new to this and im really not sure.

Ahhh, I miss the Freedom Force Hub

Even though I am not active with FF anymore (other than checking in here once in a while) I always said if anybody needs any skins/meshes to go with my hero files, I am more than happy to help.
nrozich, I am not sure if you know or not but you can use any mesh/skin combo with any hero file you want, Alex's hero file tool allows you to assign whatever mesh/skin you want to a hero file.  So if I am using one of Tommy's meshes for a certain hero file and you want to use a different one you can just switch it with the hero tool.  But you may have to edit it a little in game as they might have different keyframes.
So if you want I can send you my 3-d Man skin.

nrozich

I would gladly take it.  How do i adjust keyframes? what are keyframes?  Also what is the difference between dds and tga files as the tga files work for the skins while the dds do not. How do I fix that?

USAgent

The Keyframes are the animations of the characters.  You may have to just go in the "in game" edit mode and chose different animations (keyframes) for certain attacks. For instance I might have a hero file that has a "kick" power and the mesh that I am using for that character uses Melee_3 for the kicking animation, but the mesh that you have might have a punching animation for Melee_3 so you would have to choose a different melee animation to match a kicking type power (hope that makes sense).
dds files are for  :ffvstr: only, but TGA works with  :ff: and  :ffvstr:. But if you using  :ffvstr: than dds skin files should show up fine.

nrozich

O alright thanks, but then why does when I match up for instance Spiral with her mesh and skin that no picture appears on the left?

She may not have come with a portrait file.

I didn't check to see if she had one there, but if there is one anyplace, it's there.

nrozich

That would make sense.  I'm just gonna check in game and see if its there.
