I love malkovich. Compare him as Lenny (is that his name? I forget) from of Mice and Men and Syrus the Virus from Con Air, I don't think you could get two completely different characters. Thats what makes a good actor - the ability to pull off any role. I can trust him to do a good job, no matter what he's cast as.

Compare his role in Colour Me Kubrick, playing the man who pretended to be Stanley Kubrick, to his role in Being John Malkovich playing himself and other people pretending to be himself.

Anyhow, Josh Brolin should make a decent Hex too. I loved his Dubya.
