Hi all,

After what seems like forever, I bought Freedom Force again....I always preferred the first one as I'm a big fan of players being knocked back which the FFvTTR never had (no idea why).

Anyway, back to the point...I'm trying to find FFX2.6 and I cannot find it anywhere. Either links don't work, expired or whatever. Has anyone got this and a manual?

Thanks very much.

Thank you very much...the wayback machine is awesome.

I never got to properly play FFX 2.6 because it was so clunky for me. Although I finished FF a long time ago.

Even the main FF game is too buggy to play now on modern Windows.

How did you guys do it?

In my case, by not using Windows. I'm on MacOS, using CrossOver, which is based on Wine, a Linux project to run Windows apps and games on Linux. This is what Steam Deck uses too.

You could probably run Linux on your machine, but that<d be a bit overkill, so I guess this answer is not going to be useful to you; my apologies.

I play, mainly testing new imports that I and other have made, on Win10 with no issues that I've seen.

I play off installs from the original disks that I bought when the games came out, plus patches, no-cd cracks, and all the extras like FFX installed.

I play on Win 11. GoG version but installed to original folders. Both games work fine for me. The map editors are finicky but the games, mods and add-ons work fine.

@Epimethee - I use Windows 10. And the least buggy version is the GoG one. The steam and the original release is too clunky for me. Thanks for your time. The possibility of playing FF on a handheld sounds awesome though.

@Randomdays - Same. Oddly the original release is too buggy while the GoG one runs ok. Sometimes FFX2.6 crashes on watch mode.

@Wyldfyre - It seems Windows 11 is the answer for FF and FFX 2.6 then. FFVT3R runs on Windows 10 with no bugs. Everything is smooth.
