Looks like I have a knack for aiming! hahaha
Luckily, I can tell the tale and have a bit of a laugh about it. I fell down the stairs in my house (black marble), hitting my entire left side from my ankle to my ribs, forearm, and head. To my pleasant surprise, besides a nasty fall, I only got scrapes and two small cuts: one on my hand where the key got stuck, and a scrape on my ankle, which was the only part that bled. I could easily have died with how far the fall went. It was a terrible accident, but I'm incredibly lucky. It's going to be funny telling the doctors that I fell down the stairs at home while I was recovering.

He explained the fall: it was a patio ladder you have to climb to close the patio awning. A sudden storm hit without warning, and I rushed up to close the awning. The ladder got wet... and the descent was actually much faster than the ascent!
Hahaha! I'm so glad nothing serious happened to me, thank God!

Sympathies Cranlox. Glad you weren't hurt bad.

We have a couple of sayings in the US -

"He must have been born under an unlucky star" and "It never rains but it pours"

Seems like you're having a bad string of luck lately.

It reminds me of one of the Flintstones characters you did - "Badluck Schleprock"

Hope things turn around for you and a lot of good luck comes your way.

I could have easily killed myself, I'm so glad I got off easy. Anyway, it's over now, all that's left is to recover.

I'll walk around comically ridiculous for a while

Ouch!!! I'm glad your ok and looking on the bright side, just be careful in the future.

I'm doing alright overall, but that huge blow still hurts. I hope it's over this year!
