To get the Mesh itself to work with Keyframes, try any of the "Male_Cape" ones from here, just make sure that you convert both the Mesh, and the Keyframes at the same time.

If you want to try and use Tommyboy's Keyframes with the Beyonder's Mesh, I would say to do so AFTER both have already been converted, and as always, don't forget to back up your Files.

Hey there. So I've been reading some comics from the new Valiant recently, and I'm wondering if anyone's made is working on some skins for it. For now, I'm just looking for Bloodshot, as seen here...

...the Harbingers or Renegades, as seen here...

...and Toyo Harada, as seen here.

If someone can please let me know if anyone has made or is working on these characters, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not in because A.) I've got too much on my plate that needs to be finished and B.) I'm not familiar with the characters and don't feel comfortable moving on characters I don't understand visually. That said the top one would work just as well on Gren's Punisher as a base and for Toyo I just released a Norman Osborn and or Tony Stark that would work perfectly and one could switch out to some other modern Gren keyframes for the moves if one is inclined.

Does anyone know where I could find a good Guy Gardner skin/mesh? I tried using Courtnall 6's skin, but it needs a 'Male Basic' mesh, and those sorts of meshes just don't seem to work for me on

even when I convert them. So I'm seeing if there's another Guy skin/mesh out there before I try and get Courtnall's working. Any suggestions? Also, here's a reference, just in case.

And just out of curiosity, what exactly quantifies a "Good" Skin/Mesh? Because, in all the years I've been here, I don't think I've ever seen a bad one. So I have to say, regardless of intent, I kind of take offense to this comment.

Ohh, I've certainly seen some bad skins! When I first thought, 'hey I could do that!' I saw some REALLY bad skins: my own attempts! Then I learned to leave it to the folks with talent.

I'm sorry, really. I didn't mean anything by it. When I said 'good skin/mesh', I didn't mean, 'there are a bunch of bad skins/meshes out there so I want to make sure I get a good one.' I didn't intend to insult or offend anyone. I just typed without thinking about whether or not one incidental word mean much of anything. Honestly, I had no idea.

All us skinners have some of "those" skins on our hard drives; can't part with them can't stand to let them be seen.

I did a Guy nif with a terrible skin set. I have no shame in saying it and did in the release thread if I recall. With some things but especially the Lanterns I'm more interested in getting the models themselves out and in bulk.

At any rate C6's skin can be fitted to that one with a little copy and pasting work and some toying with the alpha channels. Shouldn't though if you pick a texture directory that already has the alpha channels you want done. One of the costumes on it is like the one pictured.

I might get some hate for what i am about to say but i would rather deal with that not being honest. I couldn't say there are bad skins but there certainly some outdated skins. This isn't a negative, it's jsut natural progression. Some skins were created years ago with basic technology and with very limited techniques. I have huge respect for people who do this kind of work as artistry is a rare talent and one that requires great mental skill. A person to get into that much trouble and release his work for free has an "infinite" thumbs up from my part. That doesn't mean i am inclined to like his work as i certainly don't demand from others to like anything i make. That said, i have not yet seen i skin that i really don't like

So I got Renegade's Guy mesh, (thanks CB,) and it works rather nicely, but now I 'm looking for Big Barda. I've found multiple Mister Miracles, but no Big Barda. Can anyone please help me out here?

Afghan Ant had made a Barda skin a while back for a Tommyboy mesh that is no longer available. Tommyboy does have another Big Barda mesh up on his site though. AA's skin might be in an older Yahoo group of his.

I'm with you Jimaras8 and personally I think it's okay and not offensive at all. I'm definitely guilty as charged there as well. The older my skins are the more they suck. In fact I recently gave out a link to my oldest stuff and got a few " Awesome! " and " looks great " compliments, thanks BTW, and was totally puzzled why anyone would say that about those terrible old skins I did short of just being nice to me, lol. And there's no shame to it because as you say it's a matter of when you start you simply don't know what your doing. Or at least I know I didn't have a clue (I use the same program as I do now even, and older version PS). On the other hand that makes it awesome to see the new peeps coming in with foreknowledge and already established skills making really tight looking stuff right at the starting line. I mean that really all you new people, it's my pleasure to see your work. So at least from me if anyone pleases go ahead and tell me if my textures are out of date or lacking. As an artist and professional I like to know where my stuff is working and where it's lacking and more than likely I actually scrutinize my own stuff to a greater detail than anyone else could hope to. And realistically in my case I have much harder problems in life to deal with so anyone telling me I did a shoddy job on a game skin is going to bounce off my heart, ha. Plus that helps for updating. In my case I'm working on a huge load of new stuff but I won't ignore a request here either so I'll either update the skin and upload it or get one of the masters here to do a new skin to replace the old file with, much like how in the early days most members commissioned C6 or AA to gloss up there work with. In fact I'll say now if any of you think to reskin any of the stuff I host I do so and send it to me and I'll go ahead and upload it and credit you of course. Really I'm glad you guys brought this up even.

Back to Guy and your request thread kkhohoho, I don't know why I neglected it but if you would like again I made that costume version *points to picture * and will gladly abridge C6's skin over it and send it your way if you still need it, granted everyone feels this doesn't break an outline in our permissions policy here (I get lost on it myself sometimes). Also on topic here do you have any previous requests lingering in this thread that you really want but got buried a few pages back? I like to try and see everyone get what they wish for on this site, I think it's the crux of what we do you know?

Sorry for the double post, but there seems to be a problem. Sorceress won't work properly if unconverted, which you think wouldn't be a problem thanks to EZ Nif Convert, but for whatever reason, EZ Nif Convert won't work on it. When it brings up the black code window and gets ready to convert, I get a message saying that 'there seems to be a problem with EZ Nif Convert, and I have to shut the program down. In other words, I can't convert the nif or the keyframes. Any suggestions?

Some scopes won't convert. Seems like the main culprit as I remember was "lost children", where the scoped pieces have a connection to another piece that isn't there. There was a way to fix it, but I don't remember what it was (manually erasing the connections?), but sometimes it's easier to just re-do the scope using FFv3R pieces. This doesn't happen much anymore.
