Greetings Freedom Reborn-ers of all shapes, colors, and sizes. I'm currently trying to pick up where our dearest Poddy-poo squishy-bear Marky-mark left off with his X-Force skins and do the Uncanny X-Force line-up. I'll keep this thread at one request at a time until I complete each member. First up:

I currently have Nightcrawler completely skinned. It just needs a proper mesh/skope. One with double katana slicing action! And hair! If anyone is willing to take up this challenge let me know, It would make me the happiest camper at Camp Onawana.  :wub:

Nightcrawler questions:
-how important is two swords? Both Ink's and Valandar's Nightcrawler meshes include a single sword and have the same costume design as the X-Force version. Hair and the exact sword should be able to change.

-how important is a working tail? I don't know if a second sword could be added to an existing Nightcrawler mesh through skoping, so we'd be looking for a dual weapon mesh which likely means a static tail.

Looking back at the past couple issues...he still uses a single sword. I have no idea why I was thinking double katanas. I just checked out Val's and it doesnt have a sword. I skinned NC on AA's nightcrawler_classic skope.

Cyber Burn

Detourne_Me has a Nightcrawler skope on the Champions site. One sword.

Well classic AoA Nightcrawler always used dual swords.

It doesn't? Maybe I was just thinking of Detourne_Me's skope of it.

Looking at it. AA's skope is based on Valandar's with Ink's body. Looks like the tail is static I think. You could also look at Ink's mesh (or my skope of it), which will give you a sword. The animations and such could probably be spruced up though.

Hmmm...would there be a way to adapt the keyframes DM used for his skope to AA's skope? I made a lot changes to AA's (UV, piece sizes, etc.) and I dont want to start from scratch on this skin again. :(

Also, any recommended hair pieces?

The easier route would probably be moving AA's pieces to Dets. I can probably do it if you need help.

Do you have a particular look you want with the hair, an image or issue number would help.

Issue 25. I think getting the shoulders and ears the way they are is out my skoping skill. I'll shoot you a PM of what I have so far.

You're both making this too hard. You just need to copy over a few pieces, specifically "rapier" and "facemask" over from either DM's skope or the original mesh.

Yeah I just copied over the body, tail, shoulder pads, and ears to Det's body, just took a couple minutes. That's all done, just need to add the right hair, time to dig out issue 25. You'll have it soon Murs.

Wait a sec, issue 25 isn't out yet. Did you mean 24? Like this?

Hmm Tomato you need to be faster! Copying over all those parts wasn't much longer though.

Trying Tomato's method, the rapier actually looks pretty good using the animation set AA used (except being impaled by the idle - I can probably fix that though) so you have a choice of Det's or AA's animation set Murs - or I might be able to combo, depends how the animation transfer tool works with these.

EDIT: It anyone has hair suggestions let me know.

Hmmm...Det's since it has sword swinging action!

I really can't think of anything for the hair. :(

Okie doke, I'm pretty much done skoping Deathlok. He just needs wolverine claws on his right hand and gun holsters on his legs. Would anyone be willing to help a clone out? A murs47 clone? A Mexican variant murs47 clone with multi-joint movement(weapons sold separately)?

I figured it out! I think I'm starting to get a hang of this skoping stuff. ^_^

I'm getting close to finishing Deathlok and I'd like to jump between finish that skin and starting the next skope. Does anyone have any suggestions on a base mesh for Fantomex?

Well for the Uncanny X-Force costume you're looking for a male basic mesh with dual handguns on the hips (the original New X-Men version had underarm holstered guns).

You could go with Tommy's Comedian. Or you could use Deadpool_muscular again. There's definitely other dual handgun meshes out there but I'm having trouble thinking of any. I'm sure others can think of some.
For my Jason Todd I used Gren's Super Spy which underarm holstered but hid the regular holsters and added some on the hips. Worked pretty well.

For the jacket I'd go with one of Gni's with the sleeves alpha'd off.
