So Im in a pulp kick here, and I wanted to do a hero file for the Green Lama. Problem is, Im not able to find any good sources on what his powers are, exactly. He can fly, sure, but other than that and super strength, which all those guys seemed to have back then, what else is there? Is there a source on this I can use or something?

Doesn't he also control plant-life?

daglob

The pulp version was a martial artist of some skill, and used a whiplike cloth (one of Lashina's lashes might do) as a weapon. I've seen reference to him flying, but I think it was more of a levitate. He could also swallow "uranium salts" (although the two I read did not feature that ability) which caused his body to generate an electric field and would damage to anyone who touched him. He appeared in a green monk's robe and hood on the cover, but the inside had him wearing a green suit and clerical collar like a jolly green Jesuit.

I have never read the comic book, but the same author is supposed to have written both. The All American Comic Shop's golden age hero database says he was invulnerable and could fly.

I've read 4 or 5 of his pulp adventures, and in some of them, he did where the green hooded outfit depicted on the covers.  And yes, he did do the "Uranium Salts" thing that Deglob described.

The golden-age comic version flies, has some degree of superhuman strength and invulnerability.

The radio version was essentially powerless.

The modern comics version has the plant control powers.

Also what Lightning Man and Kenn-X have been doing lately.

I love these guys You can give essentially any power or attack you want to them and you can still somehow justify it.

So I was right to some extent :P

ive been reading the PSP series and from what ive seen his powers are tied into the earth. he has great strength and durabilty, he can grow/control vegetation, fly, teleport himself and others, heal, and i think telepathy.

Yeah, he's pretty uber in that one. But I was looking for information about his abilities in the old pulps. The old one was a detective with some minor powers and whatever, as far as I could tell. The new one was smackin around a buncha Superman-Level androids.
