The Klingon and Reverend Jim on Taxi were played by Christopher Lloyd (also Fester Addams, Butch Cavendish (so I've heard), and scads of other characters).

I read a lot of SF, from the Golden Age to the present, with a heavy helping of HARD science. I can't even begin to list the instances of bad scinece in movies, comics, and non-SF books (let alone some of the so called "real" science fiction books). This is differentiated from made up science (a lot of comic book science is this), and pseudo scinece, which is also made up science, but will sometimes have a temporary popularity. This is also different from pop science.

But for REALLY bad scinece, it's hard to beat a 1950s monster/SF movie.

Christopher Llyod is definitely a non routine actor. I honestly don't know what they were thinking when they had him saying it. Maybe they just didn't catch it. No big deal.
