I also know it was thrown in my face by certain people here (not your original post mind, I'm talking via Yahell chat) as a "haha, this is why u r dumb for liking it!" and I can't imagine I was the only one.

Fair enough, if that's how people were presenting it, then that's actually a rather calm, mild, reserved response to the epic rudeness.

QuoteThe reason I love the show, the reason I push it so hard, is because in a sea of fart jokes and bad prankster garbage, MLP is one of the few shows that I personally find genuinely funny on a pretty much consistent basis (and even what I don't find funny, the fanbase makes funny).

Which is, I suppose a sad commentary on modern society when this is the only such thing that could be found. I perhaps also illustrates that people still want good clean humor when done well, but it just isn't being made much anymore.
I am the cat that walks by himself, all ways are alike to me.

I don't think you need to justify your interests in MLP to this audience (or most of this audience, it seems), Tomato.  For goodness' sake, if it can be collected, I believe you will find someone in this community who is collecting it.  We even have oddballs here who collect custom action figures (:P), so I hope you don't feel the need to rationalise your latest passion--no matter how many playful jabs you sustain from some of the stuffy fops one can encounter around here. ;)

Hey, I agree with Tiobe, even though I will continue to jab at you becuase it's fun to do.  That's the only reason I do it...I think it has to do with Prev being my archnemisis or something.

Perhaps, a grown man with a MLP obsession is a little silly, but so are bunch of grown men arguing over the latest comic book trends, and after all, there are much worse things to obsess over.

So... because he is your archnemesis, you're doing exactly what he does? Because he and Benton are perhaps the most emphatic about how silly this whole thing is.

I can resolve all of these problems for you swiftly and justly, Tomato: Prev knows nothing, and Benton likes Aquaman.

There! The evidence proving the soundness of your position is laid out before you: nice, neat, and self-evident. ^_^

And I have nothing to do with either...I know something and I hate Aquaman!  See!  Thanks Tiobe!

Anyway, as far as the real show goes, I'll likely have more to say tomorrow when I've seen this week's episode. While I'm not really wowed by the description, it's a Pinkie episode.

However, I'll warn you all now... come March 10th, I will likely be impossible to be around for any significant length of time. That's the day "It's About Time" airs, and... well... this is the description:

QuoteTwilight Sparkle receives a warning from her future self and drives herself crazy with worry.

If you don't understand WHY that's in line to be the most epic episode yet, clearly you NEED to watch "Lesson Zero." Tara Strong, Twilight's VA, was also the replacement voice for Harley in Arkham City. And I will tell you, Harley Quinn ain't got nothing on crazy Twilight Sparkle

Ares_God_of_War

Make an Aquaman pony for Benton. It will be like a gateway drug.
"That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange eons even death may die."

Been done already, Next.

Actually, to be fair, Aquapony is kind of poorly represented... I had to google that last one, and normally I just skim DA for these. Even so, it's Aquaman... he hasn't even gotten a proper CSA representative.

In response to this last episode... The story was blah, but it was thankfully drowned out by full on Pinkie just being weird. Also, watch this if you need a pick me up. Smile!

Apple is a horrible horrible company, and I hope they all die burning in their own filth. [/EPIC FAN RAGE]

In other news, no episode this week. Meaning I've got an extra week before I'll be unable to stand. Be happy for this.

Celestia banish it Syn... Now I need to wash my eyes out with bleach just so I have something potentially more painful to think about. You paraspriting ho you. Grah.

So, for those who aren't involved in the community right now (aka, all of you) despite the lack of any episode this week, there has been a fair amount of pony news coming forth... including a fair amount of controversy over the itunes copy of "The Last Roundup" being censored based on political correctness... For the most part, I'm keeping my nose out of it (the itunes copy seems to be the only one with the edits, so it's likely Apple wanting to stay out of the whole business) but suffice it to say there's a lot of rumor and innuendo and name calling and schwarbage going on right now that really has no place in any community, let alone one about cartoon ponies. Fellow Bronies, I am disappoint.

Watched it and am still not impressed.  Still, if you're *squee*ing like a ten-yaer old girl, like you did earlier, I'd invest in larger underwear.  Don't you know, tighty whities are bad for your health!

Tomato

Yeah, but you've never seen Twilight go crazy before, so you lack the proper context for WHY this is awesome (Just FYI, she's voice by Tara Strong, who also did Raven in TT, Ace in JL/JLU, and Harley Quinn in Arkham City).

All in all, the episode was passable... it didn't quite live up to the levels of insanity I was expecting. Still, we found out the ponies not only have a Tartarus (greek hell) but apparently live close enough to it that Cerberus can come and destroy their towns if he gets loose.

Deaths Jester

Still not empressed but the fact that their that close to hell does seem to solidify one notion I had..that this is actually one of the worst evils in the world before Hell!   :P
