Mr. Hamrick

Watching a sport?  Not really.  But it could be fun for fans.

Supporting a team?  Yes.

Supporting the home team.  Not really, especially if your team is not one of the 30.  (Betting Atlanta will not be one of the 30.)  Even if your team is one of the 30, what if one of the other cities has a cooler character.

It's a 21st century variation on mascots is all.  Plus, it will help sell merchandise.

I've been a big hockey fan for over 15 years (I'm one of about 25 people in America who actually play fantasy hockey!)

But the idea that you make a superhero based on part of each team's name makes for a lot of horribly laughable bad concepts.  Oy...

The Toronto Maple Leaf is probably the worst, but my Red Wings don't end up fairing much better.

The Hitman

Love hockey. Watch it every chance I get.

The Guardian Project is a little weak in spots, but my team is a Civil War robot covered in cannons (The Blue Jacket), so I can't complain.

Tawodi Osdi

Does NHL stand for Nihilistic Hateful Lemmings?  If so, then not.

I watched some hockey when I was little, and I recall liking it, but you don't get much hockey in Oklahoma.  I remember watching a fight and a hockey game breaking out.

Mr. Hamrick

Just went and check it again the other day, looks like Atlanta did get a hero in.

However, I'm still not impressed.

It's not bad as a variation on the mascots concept but it's still kinda sad, especially when I'm more impressed by the mascots for other teams than my own "home team".

Deaths Jester

Love hockey with a passion, hate this idea with a passion though.  Really sorry idea!
Avatar picture originally a Brom painting entitled Marionette.

oohh!! how cute, you guys actually think of hockey as a real sport. aaww.  :P

all kidding aside, i'm not a hockey fan, and i don't think this marketing ploy is geared towards "true" hockey fans.
For anyone, and everyone, who has ever done anything to improve the FF/FFvs3R gaming experience, I want to say thank you. Life is so short, and you have all brought me so much joy. I hope that one day, I am somehow able to return the kindness and generosity that all of you have shown.

One thing about this marketing ploy that I hate is that they aren't even using the official team mascots in all cases.  They are just using the team name and trying to draw it as literally as possible.  In some cases it works, like "Gnash" for the Nashville Predators or "Wild Wing" for the Anaheim Ducks (even if they do ignore the official mascot names).  But in Detroit's case, for example, the mascot would be "Stanley the Octopus."

Let's do this, only worse!

I don't care because it's hockey and not football, but this is pretty random.
I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.
